What do you mean, "The waveform was the same for all the basses"?
The height of the wave form when recording is a function of volume. You can look at the wave form or at a meter (yellow OK, red BAD). I try to make sure the height of the wave form is the same for every track.

Ah. That makes perfect sense.
I was thinking of looking at the waveforms in detail with a scope; you'll find a lot of difference due to harmonics.

Anyone use LaBella Flats on their TBirds? How about TI Jazz flats?

Dang, since this is the first bass I’ve ever bought used and it came with no literature/case/info- I have no idea what the string gauges are on it. Can someone help me out?
My white VP has GHS Precision Flats. Sounds fantastic. I've had TIs and Fender flats on my '76. very nice. The Rescue NR Bird ('66) sounded great with LaBellas. I just put some Fender flats on the Epi Embassy "donor" bass that isn't likely going to be a donor. Haven't used it live yet. Cobalt Flats sound great on VPs as well.

I just thought that was some kind of fancy light show when I was messing with the new recording setup. Are you telling me I’m supposed to pay attention to them? Huh.

No sacrilege committed here. The incoming Bicentennial will get stainless rounds. You people and your flats….

BTW, it was just scanned in Bloomington/San Bernardino. Should be delivered tomorrow.

Congratulations! Veronica @TBird1958 will fill you in on the particulars. I joined so long ago I don’t recall what all they made me do. It was sort of embarrassing though.

Hope you make it to the next GTG.
Everybody had to send of nude Thunderbird pic. After I sent mine I realized that meant just the bass.
