or IIbe Tues?....

My GK MB150-112 combo was enough to piss off my neighbors.
The neighbors on one side used to use the basement as a practice room for a band. The neighbors on the other side have a kid who is a fantastic drummer. Pretty much everyone in the neighborhood either plays something or likes it. We got lucky when it comes to neighbors.

CP/CT The Rolling Stones vs pretty much any football team
I wasn't that smart and didn't have that kind of foresight. I wasn't athletic at all, but that didn't stop me from being bad at a whole lot of different sports over a whole lot of different years. The good thing is that I crash well and don't have any permanent injuries that probably wouldn't have happened anyway.

50+ years of ice hockey takes its toll. Broken fingers, detached tendons, and C4/C7 foraminal narrowing, moderate to severe on the right and severe on the left. Meaning 50-80% closure impacting control of my hands. So, I do have an excuse for my :poop:y playing.

Dang, we sound like old gas bags.
Sounds like next stop is.......

Going on what you said, could be anytime now all those parts give up.

After I put the bridge cover on with Irv's shims that he made for it, I decided to go ahead and do a full clean and polish, including the whole body and neck, the frets, fretboard, and hardware, including the tuners. It does not look like a 48 year old Thunderbird.

There's a little wear on the headstock (cymbals? guitarist? singer's teeth? who knows). Bridge is on the deck. Action is nice and low. There is wear on the back, but nothing bad. It has been played; especially on the money frets. But 6 and above are divot free. It may have been crowned and leveled at some point. I'm not sure. There is a lot of life left in the frets, certainly more than I'll take off in the next twenty years (knock on wood).

I love this Thunderbird.

Thanks my friend. I can't wait to see and hear your '79. I seriously don't get why some were/are critical of the sidewinders. I've played it through the SVT, the TT 800, and the Carbine. Sure, there is a slight variation among the three. Different flavors of awesome. Only thing left is to find the right screw to fill the hole where the missing Neck pickup cover was. I'd love to have the cover, but I'd never put it on.

I love the neck angle. Or lack thereof.

I'm trying using a pick with the bridge cover on. This could be a good thing. Or not. We'll see.
