Cool!

I've looked at the Nashville system no telling how many times. I suppose once you get it it's easier. To me it's less work to just go find the chords in the right key. However, when you can't get that, I can see where it would be helpful. Otherwise it seems like more work than printing or having the correct chord chart. I'm possibly missing something. If I were needing to constantly change keys I would buy one of fancy quantum physics boxes that changes the universe so it sounds like you're playing in another key.

I can’t fund that purchase: but would be willing to broker and reship if someone out of the area would be interested!
DM me. I’ve got a great rep, and a good eye for issues.

!!!!!oh one question I have not ascertained the answer to: do the Vintage Pro birds have a Dual Action Truss Rod?
That is very nice of you to offer. @Stealth57, who is in Contra Costa County, did that for me a couple years ago for my very nice ‘05 Gibson Studio. I’m available for the south San Joaquin valley, north L.A. County areas time permitting.

That bicentennial is almost to south shore Tahoe. 5-6 hour round trip from east bay. It would need to have a lot more verification.

Since you seem to be the leader of the flock:
Could you indulge a question to share your experience?

Some bases of other types seem to respond “better” to heavier gauges others lighter (My 4003 loves really light strings, my Warwick Dolphin LOVED heavy gauges: both neck through like the ‘bird)

Much has to do with the pickups to be sure, that said:
The Ric seemed “deader” and lacked strong mids with RS66, better with RS35’s but is a mix cutting lazer beam of midrange punch with the Roto SS 30-98’s — yeah surprised me too.
The Dolphin woke up with rich harmonics with DR DDT 135 (5 string set) again surprised!

So: the question: with the neck through variant of the TB with the vintage ProBuckers:
Heavy gauge or light gets the best responsiveness out of the TB recipe?

I want to have new strings in hand when the Bird lands in my hands.

Two brand / types are leading
EB cobalts (know them love them)
And Power Steels ( I’ve tried and liked other SIT strings)

Heavy, or Light?
I’m not V (don’t have the chops or legs) but for what it’s worth, all my birds (including my VP) love the 45/65/85/105 EBCFs.

If you know music theory it’s simple. And you only ever need one chart per song, regardless of key. If the key changes - especially to an odd one you aren’t used to - you just choose the new root (1) and go from there. Extra nice with last minute changes.

If it doesn’t work for you, that’s fine. I love it.

Same here for Austin area. I did that for a friend years ago.

that LabSeries box ought to get some attention around here, 8x10?
Sorry ! The LabSeries L4 is a 2x15 from @1977 Dimensions: 45h x 26w x 15D

Here are some shots while loading it.
Originally stuck some Carvin mid bass 15’s in to see if I liked it.
(I did) so I ponied up for the goods Kappa 3015 (not LF)

Weighs @ 75 Lbs, I added tiltback wheels and a Towelbar handle makes it an easy schlep. Max power handling 950w, approximately 130DB output.
The SVT loves it! My Mesa WD really kicked out on that too.

To add to the mapping of the California gear trading network: I’m in Stanislaus county: (outside Patterson specifically)
And have a large vehicle:)
Additionally: I have Family in SoCal . ( Costa Mesa transplant to here)

Chino OC, and Palm Springs and can usually find an excuse for a visit.

I won’t DONATE my time, but I promise to be cheaper than shipping in many cases it will just take a bit of trust and patience.

Your info said Diablo Range. That’s further south. Our family farm is at 580 and 132.

Lived in Tracy for 8 years!

I did not want to be TOO specific (and a little obtuse intentionally) in the public profile (I’m in the mountains 9mi Due West of Patterson)
About 15 miles south of 580/5 interchange
if you pull up a map: it’s not hard to zero in on our little 300 property community.

It's rusty, but I took a theory class in college once. One funny thing I remember is a little on conducting. The conductor keeps time and if it's done correctly the musicians should be able to tell the what beat they are on of any given timing (and what the timing is). Each timing has it's own movements so the musicians can know exactly where they are. What I have noticed since is that virtually no one does it correctly! The prof was a music PhD and was a classical fanatic.

Nice! Oddly enough all my cabs are loaded with Eminence drivers (410s 212s and one 15). Made not that far from here (Louisville).
