I have a Greco currently at Pat Wilkins and while I was going to do Alpine (pure) white, I’m thinking of going green instead. I don’t have this bass anymore but I love the color I chose for it and how it turned out.

Finally got the videos of 4 songs from Monday night. My previous comments regarding the need to beef up vocals stands, but things seemed acceptable to the crowd.

You had set us up for low expectations. All in all, nice job. Wouldn’t have known it was your first gig had I just wandered in off the street. From a quick listen, I prefer the vocals from the guy doing Radhouse and Thrill is Gone, at least from the four you posted. Much improved from that practice you posted a month or so ago. I certainly would have clapped.
Had a boss when I was learning to drive who had a purple one (64 or 65). Thought the rotating driver seat was really cool. Fun car to drive.
Thanks, you have the vocals correct. Next steps are to find a real lead singer and add more songs so we can do a full hour set. Then just have to find a venue that does the 3 bands in a night type of gig.
Will have to watch later. Will be looking for undergarments tossed at the bass player.

Dave, the band sounded great and you sounded solid! Actually a pretty good job by the sound guy, the mix was very balanced. Sure the second singer was struggling with vocals a bit but his guitar playing was solid. Maybe have him sing specific songs that fit his voice style better, try some Johnny Cash or Dillon. Hats off to you and the band.
Thanks. The FOH guy is the house band bass player. That’s why you can hear the bass I had to tell him to turn down my monitor. He must love to REALLY hear himself.
Which one is Perry?
Drummer. The band name was a carry over joke. Perry knows all the owners and house band characters. The first time he played there a couple years ago he forgot to give them the band name, so they just announced them as Perry and the Boys. So, it’s that venues running joke.
Yeah, but Watchtower is a Dillon song… Don’t get me wrong. He did a better job than I ever could. He needs more practice and may get there with work. Good on him for trying. Ring of Fire would be one that could work for him…
Most of the time has been "in transit" from Edmonton to Vancouver - over a week. From two days ago on, we can blame the USPS. But objectively, CP's tracking reporting is pathetic, and their chatbot acts more keyword driven than anything else. After a couple of queries that got me nowhere, I asked to speak to a human. I got lost in a "please provide this info" list that was all stuff they had right there associated with the tracking number (or should have). So I gave up and asked, "Is the expected delivery date to my address or to customs?" and the answer was, "We have no control over what customs does with your package."I would blame USPS
The USPS has its share of problems, but the tracking reporting is better, as is their help.
I know you were (at least somewhat) kidding but just needed to vent.

Almost the color of that bass you almost got away with!
Zaki takes singing lessons but not sure how far that can take him. He strains too much and that’s more an issue with the songs he picks. Adding a lead singer is our consensus so he can just play guitar.
