I use them dry, it’s dusty, brush any dust off before anything else is used.

It works very well , soft to get into the nooks and crannies, like very high grit sandpaper ( 10k) will shine up the wood surface.

The remaining surface scratches can be polished by hand with only a cotton towel.

She had one kind of as a pet. A Charolais who's mother died and she bottle fed it and raised it. Spunky (tag #42). As an adult she didn't have calves but once ever so many years. But her dad kept her because she was something of a pet. She was attached to Sandra and if we stopped or were out, she would come up even if the other cows weren't interested.

So some closeups of the finished nut and the first fret fretboard finish:

Take note of the square side against the fretboard, and the dovetail groove toward the tuners?? The Epi nut was SQUARE ON BOTH SIDES, not fitted well at all and IGNORING the designed in mechanical bond intended to keep the nut from rocking back and forth.
There was already a bit of chipping , assume that the original nut had moved and been reglued sometime in the past.

Not your fault! While they need to up their tracking & web chat game, I suspect some of the slowness is related to politically-driven issues.
You moved really quickly. This stuff happens. (It shouldn't, but it does!)

How are you? Hopefully away for good reasons?

yeah that's what intrigues me, agreed it looks completely outta place but was thinking about the low action....my Gretsch has a factory installed one and my brother Jeff sent me one that may end up in a 70 J...
