I chased the dude down the street and showed him the pic and asked, Does that look like the porch to you?
He said there was no place to turn around and asked why I parked at the end of the drive.
I said there are two vehicles in the garage, and that square piece of blacktop across from our drive is called a turnaround. He looked puzzled. I said across from our mail box. It's what people use to turn around. (He knew what I was talking about because he used it to turn around.) Wish I would have asked if he backed down the street since he didn't know there was a way to turnaround and how I choose to use my drive is not his concern. But when acting like he couldn't turn around I said UPS, Amazon and others don't have a problem. Then he said he always delivers to the drive. I said, not at my house. The directions are porch and everyone else does it. He said OK, and I told him I appreciate it. By the way, we have had rain off and on today....

I'm back in the gang! I recently bought a red Gibson non-reverse but returned it, I just couldn't get on with that neck. But, that tone! Best-sounding Thunderbird I've ever owned.
So I had to scratch the itch and out of nowhere this popped up for sale, and at an excellent price.
Tonally it's a LOT darker than the NR but with some extreme EQ I can get that Who Live at the Young Vic sound I love so much.
These Orvilles are rare birds over here in the UK and I'm thrilled with it. Can anybody recommend a hardcase that it will fit inside? 😆
Very Nice! It looks to be in great shape.

It will likely fit in either of these, but measure.

I prefer the Tolex on the Gator.

If you want the NR tone, you can swap in these:

Some here are not enamored with the Orville pickups. Some think they’re ok.

Congratulations!

I doubt it will fit in the Epiphone case - different body shape. I did consider buying the Gator and sending it to the seller for postage but he checked the measurements and said it wouldn't fit.

When I first got the bass the tone was extremely dark, but with some new strings - and some unusual EQ - I'm very pleased. That said, I may still replace them at some point for something with a bit more inherent brightness and zing.

TT even if it is just the backside. It's all I've got. No photo love for the bass player.

In fairness, tall as you are, maybe the photographer got tired of trying to fit you in frame? :wacky:
Spent the morning with the genius bar nerds. I upgraded from an iPhone 12 to 16e. All seemed well until I tried to sync to iTunes. Wiped all the music off my phone and iTunes. Apple says, you don't use Apple Music, so we think you have no rights to the music. So, Spotify Premium, which allows offline listening, isn't accepted by Apple. A bit of anti trust?

So I have all my music saved / backed up on a thumb drive. I purchased it all, it’s either ripped from CD’s or bought on iTunes. Are we saying once I upgrade my Mac (way overdue) and my iPhone from 12 to 16 or… that I won’t be able to listen to music on my devices unless I pay monthly to stream music? Streaming quality is not great imo.

These things don’t photograph well, our Queen swears hers is striking in person, as I suspect this one would be.
Y’all’s killing /\/\3!
I’m a HUGE sparkle fan!

Yeah, they trashed a bunch of stuff on my first upgrade. Grrr...
