Dave posted a link shortly after I asked about this, brought me right there. Now I just need to know how to pay for it with some sort of protection, as I’m not flying to PA to do it in person.

Andy turned me on to the FB group a couple years ago. Some great people who are not part of our club here post there. Sure, given it’s FB, there can be some “different” opinions posted there. It got me onto FB which I ignored forever. But I check there regularly. I was also forced onto FB by the mountain community I have my other house in; it’s the only way to know what is going on there. Overall, I maintain a watch only presence, although I occasionally participate in the Thunderbird group, usually to express congratulations to new Thunderbird people. I know that Miles, Dave, Glenn, and Veronica are sometimes seen there.

I bought mine years ago. @Engle made me a beautiful Pickguard and TR cover with chrome emblems. The pickups are wonderful with SIT Powersteels. If you like the wider neck, go for it!

I've been known to be partial to P necks. I'm out of storage space, so don't even know where I could hide, I mean keep it...

Ha! My wife knows when I buy stuff. She handles the accounts. I don’t hide it. I always tell her when I buy another bass. But it’s usually when we’re watching Dodger games. That’s my strategy. And it works. She doesn’t really play close attention. About once a year she looks around and says “when did you get that?” She goes into an office a lot. I work remotely. I can’t recall the last time she was home when a Thunderbird arrived. She knows that when I visit George, I come home with something. But again, she doesn’t really pay attention. I have Thunderbirds in multiple rooms at two houses. I occasionally say, “oh, that one. Remember.”

That is odd that it is taking that long. My customs certificate from shipping has no evidence that they ever look at it. Timing?

Took a week to get from Edmonton to Vancouver. 4 days involved with customs in LA. Plus some time sitting places. To be fair, it was packed and posted on Good Friday. If they follow through, LA to my doorstep will be 3 days.

Epi VP into the '69 Hiwatt and Vox 4x12. Funny thing was, I was practicing with the Grecobacker at home, but figured I"d take the TB-900 with me for rehearsal and the show.

Thanks! I don't play too much blues rock anymore, but it's fun to drop into it every now and then, get to stretch my JPJ Leo Lyons, and Jack Bruce chops.

I was kidding. I seriously don't have space or display room for another case or another bass (4 at practice, 14 at home, 2 at small vacation home, 3 stashed in a closet). I'm going to have to try to sell a couple of different basses. My Epiphone Goth and Steinberger Spirit aren't generating any interest. I'm in a self mandated 1 in 1 out situation. Real world problems, right?

I should note that at home I have a dedicated music room in a downstairs bedroom. I also store cases/gig bags in 1/2 of the downstairs guest bedroom closet. She who must be obeyed has been more than tolerant.
