I’m on FB, although I rarely if ever spend any time there. I am just not big on self promotion, being an introvert and preferring to NOT be noticed makes the new world of content creators, followers, and all that just kinda foreign to me. I should probably change that, especially to promote band events, but it’s all awkward feeling to me.

Much easier to share about things in my life with people that have the same interests, and the inherent curiosity and understanding of the topic(s). Like here for instance…

It will fit a Gibson case no problem.

The first thing I would look at is the pots, if they're not 500K with an .047 cap, changing over to this is your first best thing to do. The stock wiring on mine used 250K pots and the bass was underwhelming to say the least, even new Seymour Duncan Custom Shop pickups did very little for it until I changed the pots.
So, look there first, I should have!
I checked the club list, didn't see you on it, let me know, I'd be happy to add you!

Check the pots, of course! This never occurs to me I'll report back.
As for the case I assumed the Gibson would be too small at the headstock end, but I'll take your word for it! £200+ though... Got to be done I suppose, this Orville gig bag does not fill me with confidence!

I'm back in the gang! I recently bought a red Gibson non-reverse but returned it, I just couldn't get on with that neck. But, that tone! Best-sounding Thunderbird I've ever owned.
So I had to scratch the itch and out of nowhere this popped up for sale, and at an excellent price.
Tonally it's a LOT darker than the NR but with some extreme EQ I can get that Who Live at the Young Vic sound I love so much.
These Orvilles are rare birds over here in the UK and I'm thrilled with it. Can anybody recommend a hardcase that it will fit inside?

I have a 91 Orville it fits in both Gator Yorkville cases I have.

Might be heavy after filling all the holes. There are even 4 holes in the back. I suppose drill-through issues. Can't imagine what else could be the reason. But even then you would think after the first you would stop and rethink depth.

My Ripper had a couple of inexplicable holes on the back. Some things just don't make sense...

What’s the buying process on FB, if anyone knows? I have not done it and I don’t want to get burned (obviously).

I buy and sell stuff on FB Marketplace, but only locally, in-person and with cash. So it's not much different from Craigslist.
I do usually check the person's profile to make sure they have some history.
Selling is sometimes a PITA as flakes abound.

My Orville came with a Gator case and there’s no issue with the fit.
It’s not the sturdiest case, but it’s better than the Orville soft case!

For the 2001 fans, here’s a good one in a rare color. Seems like a fair price and it’s got the ‘01 TB+ pickups…, says rosewood FB, but if it’s an ‘01 it should be ebony.

Of course the serial makes it either a ‘10 or an ‘06 ???

Hey Thump! That would be an ‘09 Silverburst Limited Edition Customshop.

I bought mine years ago. @Engle made me a beautiful Pickguard and TR cover with chrome emblems. The pickups are wonderful with SIT Powersteels. If you like the wider neck, go for it!

I used PayPal for a couple transactions that made me a little nervous (buying my Cataldo from a Craigslist seller in another state), paid with a credit card as extra protection. Everything went smoothly so I never had to file a dispute.
