Thunderbird Club

NBD!

First impressions: plays like a dream, and the pickups definitely beat the original VP pickups for low end. I’ll set it up the way I like it and do a comparison of my 2019 VP w/ Thunderbuckers later. Other comparisons to follow later.

Hard to get a decent pic of the real color!

Love it!!!
That’s probably the best sparkle job I’ve seen on a purple sparkle VP yet. Mine isn’t nearly as thick on sparkle as yours, nor is it as purple as yours. I think there might be a finishing difference between the Canadian and US market sparkles. You’re gonna love the sound. A bit deeper voiced than the original VP but not as dark as a TB+ pickup, sits nicely between the two. Action on mine is great. The only issue I had to deal with was the pickups had a slight back tilt to them, quick fix with a piece of foam added under the pickups.
Can’t wait to hear your review on the new bird!

And there's my worst nightmare come true, right in the middle of building one...

Trying to explain why I'd need TWO: impossible.

"...temptation, frustration, so bad..."

I t has frets, the one you're building doesn't - Happy to enable. 😺

Can I put you in contact with the household CFO?

I'm not certain that would help your cause! How many pairs of shoes does she have, and how are they justified?
