Mexican Wedding balls were a real tradition at the North house when growing up. Mom used to make those along with stuffed dates every Christmas.Those are Mexican Wedding cookies.

Just heard our new rehearsal space will have a digital mixer and headphone amps. Digital drum kit too. Not sure what DI box but should be better than the current setup putting drums, bass, and one guitar through a pair of 4” monitors.

It’s almost set up, although I cleverly forgot to buy another pack of EBCFs so it’s got D-Addario Chromes on it, iirc. Sounds great, plays great. I still have a bit of buzz on the two skinny strings; the 3rd and 4th saddles are a bit lower than on my VP. I figured that out right as I got ready to stop for the night. I’m not a fan of the angled neck; the bridge is way up in the air. Speaking of bridges, going by this one’s centerpoint, this bass is a 34 1/4” scale. No problem, just odd. (My VP is 34” on the bass side and ~34 1/16” on the treble side.)
