First mistake is trusting Microsoft with anything important.

Easy for me to say. I’m not chasing that tone. But if I were, I’d do what I could, bite the bullet, and buy the correct bass. And he was an early Hartke guy. That had something to do with his sound. YMMV.

Seems an issue with the VPN first:
The permissions set for a browser based RDP can be more limited , and uses different ports.
Additionally it may have little to do with the VPN rather more of an issue with the perimeter firewall. If the VPN and firewall are one and the same (IE Meraki) that is where you’ll find the communication breakdown.

In my recent experience, a corporate VPN inhibits workflow, causes lost productivity, and leads to calls for help to be able access documents needed to do a proper job. Of course those calls are handled by offshore vendors. That’s why I am so done with working.

The bobbins are very shallow. They look a lot like the bobbins of the single coils on a G-3

I don't buy any extra 'services'(BritBox, etc.), but the local PBS station has been running "Brokenwood Mysteries" which is enjoyable, plus I can almost always find an episode of "Death in Paradise".
[remind me to never visit Sainte Marie. Oh... Wait... I don't fly; don't have a passport; and it's a fictional island. NVM]

Yes, you are right, shipping might not be too bad if he would ship. But I need another head like I need another bass at the moment.
I've begun guiding our church through a "next steps" initiative to figure out what we are going to do. I've laid all the ground work for them, not we begin to consider options. When that church was built there were plans for neighborhoods and even a school. All that went out the window by 1980 or so and the area (mile or two around the church) is now >60% commercial (UPS and warehouses), much of it not awful looking (and some of it is), and the apartments around the church have become low-income and low English speaking. (We are a very welcoming church and are very diverse in terms of ethnic makeup, even in leadership, but they they all speak English well.) I've been involved in helping struggling or troubled churches for years and often there are no easy or pleasant answers. I've guided churches through merges before, and that may happen again. Just too soon to say right now, though it's a good option for us. Tough decisions ahead.

All that to say, I may be looking for a job (don't want to retire yet and staff said that would be a waste if I did), and may not be playing bass every week or at all. So more equipment right now just doesn't make sense right now. But I still GAS for cool equipment.

No, I don't know what I'm looking at--other than a great bass player and even better dude. Beyond that, I'm lost.
