Not sure if Ripper covers are available.

I was planning on making a few prototype pickups to test , not sure what covers would be useful for the string spacing . I think the mini Humbucker bobbins are 51mm

Its getting to the point i need to get a SLA resin printer to make covers and bobbins onnthe fly

There are a couple Grecos on Reverb at the moment. One is a while '86 that looks appropriately faded but has black hardware. The hardware finish doesn't affect the sound, but I'm shallow. There's also a burst '81 with chrome hardware. Both have original pickups. The '81 is a bit more expensive. If it was white, I might bite, but there they are for somebody else.

<rant>I don't think I can wait two weeks for the beer to finish carbonating. If you think FedMess gives you a headache, try Microsoft. Me and my team have spent the last week troubleshooting a client's critical issue. He runs our software and gets no results (basically, product never flows to the end of the manufacturing line). We run it and get the correct results. 3 man-weeks later, no closer to figuring out what HE did to mess up the data. Had to be operator error.

I recalled that the client uses a browser to log into the VM as their corporate firewall doesn't allow a direct connection. So, I log in that way and get no results. WTFender? Microsoft did something so that software operates differently depending on how you log in to the VM...not how you log into the software, just how you get to the desktop. Let's see what BS they say about this one.</rant>

So what does the corporate VPN do, if they login to an onsite host, (on the same internal network as the VM) and connect to the VM from this host?

Seems an issue with the VPN first:
The permissions set for a browser based RDP can be more limited , and uses different ports.
Additionally it may have little to do with the VPN rather more of an issue with the perimeter firewall. If the VPN and firewall are one in the same (IE Meraki) that is where you’ll find the communication breakdown.

The VM is on Azure, so, off prem. VPN makes no difference in the results as I can replicate the results using no VPN and RDS and HTML-5 browser. Logging in works fine, that gets you to a Windows Server 2016 full desktop environment. It is when they fire up our simulation software where they (and we) get different results from our software for exactly the same dataset and runtime options depending on whether they use RDS or HTML-5 browser log in. The software is a virtual representation (digital twin) of their factory. Product is released into the factory, but with HTML-5 log in, the product gets to the first step in the process route and stops. Log in via RDS and product flows from step to step as you would expect.

And to think I was a high level manager in a major global corporation in the IT organization. Actually, I was in facilities and real estate which reported up through the Chief Information Officer in a bastard stepchild kind of way. Go figure.

Artec has a Alnico option for their pickups. Most people sell the ceramic version for some reason
