Thunderbird Club

They’re still selling pure, wild meat.

Oh, wait. You mean the other Broken Arrow Ranch. Never mind.

Ha! I kinda lost track of the ranch after Peggy died. Last I heard Neil spends time in l.A. and a place he has in Canada when he’s not touring. He has his barn studio in Colorado as well as the studio at the ranch. He recorded the last album in Malibu.

SoCal and AZ are tough for me and Frank, it's a really long drive and if we fly, can't bring any basses which makes for a sad Queen.

Yeah, I get that. Whatever is decided, I’ll come.

I want the holy hand grenade to deal with the rabbit population here. I'm perfectly fine with squirrels and all kinds of other wildlife. Rabbits are different. Rabbits must die.
don't know about a holy hand grenade but always wondered if the method from the guy this books is about:

The hawks coyotes and Bobcats keep the numbers around here in check.
Especially the Bobcats: my yard is in the patrol route.

Every spring at least 30 mini bunnies , by May? None .
A hawk frequents our vacant upper (to the south of the house) lot. I have an upstairs balcony that I sit out on and occasionally see it. Our bunnies are pretty skittish. We are also in the Condor range, although I’ve only seen two in the 3 1/2 years I’ve been coming up here, which is mostly every weekend. Although I’ll be spending a lot more time up here from now on.

VP burst, SIT Powersteels, Ampeg at run through but switched before service to the ABM. The more I use that head the more I like it. As I learn to use the EQ I find more basses that were Ampeg tube only basses can run through the ABM and sound good. Still at few basses where the tubes rule.

Which ABM do you have?

I managed a Biodynamic farm for a few years. It was a trip. Thankful we didn't have a rabbit problem. But there are a lot of somewhat mystical and ritualistic procedures in Biodynamic farming. Biodynamic certification is another few steps beyond organic certification. It basically treats the whole farm as one living organism. Not just the crops and fields. Never thought I'd see Rudolf Steiner mentioned in the Thunderbird thread. I can tell you though that when we went from organic to Biodynamic The whole place went Boom! Everything grew so much better.

1st prototype set together. Working out clean packaging was the most time consuming part. If this set is good enough to continue there will be some revisions to make it easier to hide the wiring. These things look tall to me but theres no room to condense the coils.

Yes , there is a N missing in Bicentennial. Will fix the file if another set gets built

Dad hated meat loaf for similar reasons. Ironically, it’s always been one of my faves.

I was going to order Welsh rabbit when my VP took me to a nice restaurant while I was at our HQ in Belgium for a week. He talked me into steamed mussels (a big deal there). I should have gone for the rabbit.
Welsh Rabbit? Or
Welsh Rarebit?
AFAIK - no rabbit in it.
Fancy version of cheese on toast.

Edit: I spoke too soon, it was resolved further down.

yeah, visited the Goetheanum a couple of times....interesting stuff, particularly the fact that dilution into distilled water actually strengthens the effect of the solution instead of weakening it...

In Aus, we imported a virus and they contracted Myxomatosis and mostly died off. Of course the ones that lived bred a resistant rabbit population. Imported another virus a couple of decades ago when they again grew to plague proportion

The English imported rabbits, foxes etc to make Australia more like England and for hunts etc. Fools. They had no natural predators here and did a lot of damage.
Not as stupid as importing cane toads though…. :banghead:

Tall is probably ok, since most Thunderbirds these would go into are modern ones, routed for the TB+. I don't understand why all vintage repro Thunderbird pickups are so shallow; I'd expect them to be drop-ins for the vast majority of pickup cavities they're getting installed into.

The SD custom shops were drop in on my VP. I don’t recall them being any thinner than the Probuckers.

When I first moved up here there was a Bald Eagle on a street lamp.
Saw a Condor once in my twenties. That is breathtaking.

I “think “ the available Tbird shells are ALL shallower than the OG Gibsons and the Greco, and Orville “copies”
I searched and could not find any premade deeper shells available.
