Thunderbird Club

What would you bring? Others have a 64 II, Bicentennial, 64 reissue, 2015…I think we could cover you?

I think it would be damn cool to see four '64s in one place, how about you?

Been missing my BecVar 8-string since I had to sell it, and I think it might be time to stop thinking about ways to obtain @TBird1958 old coral 8-string NR...
I owned that coral NR 8string after @TBird1958 for a few years. I've kicked myself for selling it more than once. I sold it to Jeff Ament who I'd imagine still owns it because why would he need to sell it?

My modest 4 BR is isolated:
Wild boar, mountain lions, coyotes, rattlesnakes, hawks, rabbits (galore).
Come to think of it: the rabbits may be the most dangerous.

I want the holy hand grenade to deal with the rabbit population here. I'm perfectly fine with squirrels and all kinds of other wildlife. Rabbits are different. Rabbits must die.

You must be part Aussie.

Rabbits are officially a pest here. The older generation, those that grew up in the country areas anyway like my Dad and Uncles experienced rabbits in plague proportions when they were kids.

I’ve never actually eaten rabbit. My Dad wouldn’t have it . He told me that when he was young (the Depression years) that was the only meat they ate. Easy to get and free. On a special occasion they might get an old sheep for a meal of mutton.

Anyway he would not eat rabbit because it reminded him of being poor.

I've eaten it - tastes a lot like chicken.

But then, I love large Crustaceans.

Dad hated meat loaf for similar reasons. Ironically, it’s always been one of my faves.

I was going to order Welsh rabbit when my VP took me to a nice restaurant while I was at our HQ in Belgium for a week. He talked me into steamed mussels (a big deal there). I should have gone for the rabbit.

Excellent coverage! The Epi 64 — the latest incarnation of the VP — is hard to find steals on but does have more low end than the VP/60s. I don’t know if the pickups changed but their position changed - closer to the neck. The neck angle also changed but the main impact there is that aftermarket bridges may not go high enough.
Honestly as much as I want to save money, the purple sparkle Epi 64 looks so good.

I also work at a school and play bass during the schools catholic masses and there’s something about showing up to play worship music with a purple sparkling thunderbird sounds too good to pass up.

Perfect for Lent.

Joke's on them that there's no rabbit in it?

It’s all I played at church during Pride Month.
