Wow Glen, it looks great! You are much more scientific about shaping bass bodies than I am
My process is to look at another instrument and then remove wood until it seems right... taking a few measurements as I go.
I'll be thinning the wings and doing a belly cut on my Epi base Tbird soon.
I find mahogany really easy to work vs maple or ash. But I've never shaped a basswood or alder instrument.

not to bog down with live clips but since it is a TBird club, thought it may be helpful for some listening to different Birds setup differently in live scenarios with different amps and genres...
had a great tone night on Fri......cherry red (thin body) BaCH with TBuckers and broken in RS66, both pups dimed (love IVs) and tone at 7 (cap replaced with Cornell Dubilier of same original value which I can't recall), Dunlop nylon .72 and ABM EVO 500 set like:
into a ABM 4x8" and a ABM 1x15" with a 700W Celestion......
all this said, I can't say enough how badazz this BaCH is, the neck is superior to many of my (way pricier) basses.....literally not a single dead spot anywhere.....

I'm digging mine so much! Used it last night at rehearsal and it was pure joy, my settings are similar, I have the Valve Drive at 9, bass knob up at 10:30 with the lowest slider down quite a bit, just a little less compression - It sounds so much like my Trace, love it!
Thanks! No, I've had it since 2021 or so. It and my SWR Goliath 410 were coming with me on the tour I was gonna go on, but the pandemic killed that. It's since been living at my friend's house, since I had no space for it. NYC apartment living. Since we rarely need our own backline for NYC shows, and are often discouraged to bring one, I haven't needed it. But since I disliked that Fender amp so much, my friend in another band who played with us last time gave me the idea. He said the big cab and ran right home to grab is Darkglass head.
Practically, I would've been better off with the L500, but I got so wooed by the Legacy amps looking like mini 800RBs that I went with the 800. I do know that the 800RB was only 300 watts.
That'd be my preference too.
But I ain't got none.
Only Gibson bass I have access to is my DC Tribute, which is a pretty different beast design wise even if it has a T-bird pickup and a 3-point.
It's body-edge radius isnt a symmetrical 90-degree fillet like on a 7ender; its more of a blend from the face to the edge, and a lot smaller/sharper than an FSO.
Pix I see of 'birds look different, smallish radius like the DC but more symmetrical, like a quarter-round fillet. Not quite Telecaster-sharp but close.
What big cab is at the venue?
I think it's an 810. That's all I know. In my experience, GKs sound great through any cab.

You don't believe in gloves? Gloves don't believe in you? Mahogany juices goes right through gloves?
Is this a case of you having alien sweat like certain other members? Or does the mahogany have alien sweat?

300 into 4 ohms AND 100 into 8 ohms. You could run full range or bi-amp. I used to run mine into a 4 ohm 810 and a 8 ohm 210. Glorious 10 x 10 stack with the 210’s supporting the mid-high and highs.
I should have the covers in a few weeks. Ordering tonight. Currently out of EMG40 so i have to make the order
