I'm not giving up my amps either.

Google reveals first comprehensive data on AI energy use.
Google has revealed the first comprehensive data on the energy consumption and environmental impact of its artificial intelligence tools, setting new benchmarks for measuring AI's environmental footprint while acknowledging the technology's growing energy demands.
According to research published Thursday, a typical query to Google's Gemini AI assistant consumes just 0.24 watt-hours of energy — equivalent to watching television for about nine seconds. The company also disclosed that each query emits 0.03 grams of carbon dioxide equivalent and uses 0.26 milliliters of water, roughly five drops. [Making one tea or coffee produces 71g of CO.]

This means running a 200w bass amp for one hour consumes approximately 833 times a Gemini AI query. The bass amp still uses 14x more energy than even heavy Gemini usage for the same hour.

I will not comment on that query other to say it sounds like a well crafted PR lie. I suspect bass amps use less energy in a day compared to what is used for queries about Sydney Sweeney.

I hope to come visit you anyway. My hatred of FL is political. But you’re there and Jet Blue services it regularly from L.A. I hope you have a decent couch. Or I can sleep on the floor.
There may have been a bit of sarcasm there(not the part about "we ain't got spit"[sp])

I'm a skeptical person by nature and suspect you are right in the first statement and wondered how true that was when I saw the article. With respect to the second, I know you are correct.

Ltd = Limited as in “Limited Liability” not like a big old Ford “Lincoln Type Design”.

From our perspective it’s confusing all the cars with LTD or Limited in their names.
I know LTD is intended to convey a special edition with limited production, but it can be taken as having limited functionality. It always seemed to me to be a dumb thing to call a car.

We had 2. 1971 with a 400ci engine and a 1979 with a 351ci engine. The 400 was a boat, but good car. The 79 was the one with the variable venturi instead of a carb. Comfy car when it actually worked, which wasn't often.
