They were fun to watch. And showed what talented guys they were. The band seemed to enjoy the ride with them. Dunn was a superstar who finally got the recognition he deserved.Akyroyd actually played harmonica IIRC.
They both sang.
Maybe not great musicians... but musicians.
I remember songs like "Rubber Biscuit" getting airplay.
I don’t think so. They were Alnico humbuckers IIRC. There was one at the local GC about 10 years ago. Shoulda bought it. $100. And the neck had fantastic fretwork.Anyone have an Epi Les Paul? I see a 2008 for $200. Looks like TB+ pickups?
Seeing the pic now, whatta you got to lose? You can flip it for that if you don’t like it. And no, I don’t want it. I have enough basses.LP Special
It's not blue. But the seller isn't responding...Seeing the pic now, whatta you got to lose? You can flip it for that if you don’t like it. And no, I don’t want it. I have enough basses.
Sad. I met the drummer Bob C Benberg through work (real name Robert Siebenberg). He had great things to say about Davies; he was the most talented in a very talented group.RIP Rick Davies (Supertramp).
81yo from cancer.
We use ours three or four nights a week year round.
had such an interesting right hand fingerstyle technique with the bass strapped up high like that.....looks (clearly not to him) uncomfortable ymmv..It's nice to see a major release with a non-reverse in the front cover.

Not as good recording as Leeds, Young Vic or San Francisco '71 but it's "the 'orrible 'Oo" and it's great! And John's bass sounds superb.

Ya reckon those are hemis?
Was it as high as the bass player for Timbuk3? That cat had it almost tucked under his chin.had such an interesting right hand fingerstyle technique with the bass strapped up high like that.....looks (clearly not to him) uncomfortable ymmv..
Or Jaco, or Paul Denman of Sade, even Chris Squire (who played with a pick!), although conducive to better pizzicato (for me) playing, the goofy look disqualifies that (wearing) position for me....shallow? perhaps, at least here...Was it as high as the bass player for Timbuk3? Not sure what that is, but saw somewhere that EMG is the only company making replacements that fit.Ya reckon those are hemis?
