So, the belly cut on a reverse, when there is one, seems pretty subtle/shallow, compared to an NR.

And really shallow compared to an FSO.

Seems like it mainly continues the line of the thickness of the upper and lower bouts thru the thicker waist.

Hard to find photos that really show it, but on this body, seem like only maybe 4 or 5 mm at the deepest point of the edge?

And biased well tailward?

Approximately so:

Wow, its a good thing I asked.

Plans I was looking at were not only vague (1 outline, no depth)... but pretty completely wrong based on these photos.

Eek.

Early Re-issues have pretty nice wood work, including the edge radius and even tho my tummy is reasonably under control, I'd say that I like my Birds that have a cut a little better when I'm playing a show.

Not to get into pole-ticks, but CA has again decided that it must continue to pass smog checks.

Leno's Law failed to pass.

So even though 45 years old, pre-cat, and with legally-required parts 30+ years out of production, still must pass dyno every 2 years.

I managed to do so until recently. But needs parts and time and effort I am finding hard to muster.

New Cab Day!
The 1980 Musicman 115 cab just came in and it’s great sounding with the MM HD150 head! Super clean tone, plenty of low end, very articulate, every note rings super clear. It’s in near mint condition as well. Should be able to fully run it thru its paces tomorrow.

I like it. Also like that it's not low to the ground.

Find someone in Tuolumne County and register it there. I did that with a highly modified 91 Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo. No way for it to pass the smog visual. Tuolumne County has no bi-annual smog check.
Actually, any of these work too: Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Del Norte, Humboldt, Inyo, Lake, Lassen, Mariposa, Mendocino, Modoc, Mono, Plumas, Sierra, Siskiyou, Trinity, and Tuolumne.
