It’s perfect with an old set of Chromes:

Heather Mist Poly - a Bond Girl colour...I bought this guitar, from 1987 for my wife in 1992. It hung in the same shop the entire time, unsold and according to the owner guys didn’t like that it was a “girls color.”

well, you are the Queen after all..... yeah, nothing like the real article......In retrospect I guess it was pretty cheeky of me to just park right in your driveway as I did!
I love that bass, there's just something about the real thing.

I like my substitutes!
.....is that the one he recorded My Generation on?...Could be. All you really need are RS-66 Rotosounds and the right touch!Especially if it's a J!............is that the one he recorded My Generation on?...
is that your J in the back?...
Convinced that bass track was meant for a Bird...Could be. All you really need are RS-66 Rotosounds and the right touch!
I heard he recorded My Generation on fresh tapewounds on that jazz. Here it is at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in NYC a few years back. I saw it in person.Could be. All you really need are RS-66 Rotosounds and the right touch!
this here?.......I think your '64 needs to go to a show - at the right venue of course, nobody clanging into it.
Especially if it's a J!............is that the one he recorded My Generation on?...
Looks great! La Bella FS 104's work on my '64 just fine. SITs will fit. But I have had to "work" a string or two on that style before. I have a Badbird but not sure about selling it just yet. But if you can't find one from Scott I'll rethink and check with the guy I got it from to make sure he doesn't want it back. If it's just unplayable, I'll take that thing off your hands.Ok. So, this is my first Tbird, and initial thoughts are:
Sounds REALLY good, especially with a pick. Played some Skynyrd and it was totally “the sound”
The E string slot in the stop piece is too narrow for the Labella super polished string. It sits firmly where it’s at but it quite ugly. Do roto 66’s fit this better, or is there another string that is similar that will fit. Maybe an aftermarket stop piece???
Intonation SUCKS. Googled around and found the Badbird bridge. Everything on my Tbird is flat, so how do I get one of these ASAP?
Neck is a lot like my 65 Jazz. Narrow and thin. Very “out there” though… long instrument.
Needs a leveling on the frets. Nothing I can’t handle.View attachment 7338821
They didn't leave when you showed up thinking it was a nudist pool did they?

I sold my Cassidy to my bands guitar player. Sounds beautiful, I'm a little bummed- but I didn't like the neck-heaviness of it, and being semi-hollow I decided to not move the lower strap button to the back of the body....There was also a Cassidy that they tried to sell me for $400. Shoulda bought it. But it was just not comfortable enough for me so I passed.
There you go. He didn't even need Rotosounds to get that tone!
do you know if Leon played rounds?Looks great! La Bella FS 104's work on my '64 just fine. SITs will fit. But I have had to "work" a string or two on that style before. I think I read the rounds on the Danos were pre Roto.....basically very thick gauge guitar stings....There you go. He didn't even need Rotosounds to get that tone!
