It is not vintage, unless they moved the dates for what vintage means. It is still a good price these days. Seems like it wants to follow you home.

Got this fitted and finished. Hole matching was... improvisational.

I need one different pot as the threaded part of the collar is too short. Ordered a T25K, need a T36K.

Otherwise all fits tight and straight.

Also cut a test cover from hobby ply, that'll probably become the drilling template for the final cover. Still 50/50 on making it black plastic, or wood painted to match the body.

So, progress... in limited non-working time.
New ERP system launch coming last week of October, so yeah... kind o' busy.
Your work is stellar.

Ha! Thx, he said 10kW but then mentioned each of the powered subs running 5 so, your guess is as good as mine, one thing it didn't lack was headroom....they were using these weird "passive" DI boxes, no batt......never have seen, possibly outta touch with modern PA techniques/trends.......
Yeah I use a passive DI to connect an old sampler, but my amps have DI out. It's been a long time since a sound guy has tried to stick a passive DI between my bass and amp.

At one point, a band I played drums with did a cover of Time, the Pink Floyd song. There is a section with a tick-tock sound that has some roto-tom that goes over it. Doing that without some kind of track was a real challenge. The trick was to set up a couple plastic jam blocks on a stand so that you could twitch your hand back and forth like a clock pendulum. That was one hand. The other hand was roto-tom rolls. Pink Floyd can be really tough to do live without electronic gagets. All of their songs seem to have some electronic quirk.
they used to go out with racks (literally) of Echoplexes, not Marshall's...

I just recall them all being active hence the comment...... managing batteries in gear by sound reinforcement companies must be a nightmare.....easy marketing, let alone "lower noise"....

I have seen a Binson echo machine like they used. I think it was called an Echoplex or something close. They weren't the usual tape delay but instead had a magnetized disk with multiple read, write, and erase heads. Those are almost as strange as a TelRay oil echo. They have a slightly delicate and flammable quality to them that is a little spooky. It would be fun to have one to play with to see what it would do, if it could even be made to work these days. But then there are a zillion things that would be fun that I will also never get around to. Besides, those old machines are insanely expensive if you can even find one.

remember the mellotron? same perpetual tape concept, love that stuff, boggles the mind that it actually worked....where there's a will I guess .....not far from you......

Mike and Mikes................
This would probably be like strapping on a booth at Denny's to play - yet, I kinda want it.

The V tailpiece with a 3 point is an intersting combo. Are those the same pickups the the Suzy Quatro Tbird has?

Yes, arranged the same way too. It's 33 1/2" scale so no doubt it's perfect for a smaller stage.

Still looks long! Vs are often 30", but you're used to rocking a VP. You'll be fine:)

I have this pointy fellow, he is quite large.

That's ok, you'll still be glad that you have your rig so you hear what you really sound like, as opposed to what comes out of the floor monitors - Now you feel my pain!
A month or so ago I saw a YouTube post by a long time professional jazz guitarist (probably in his early-60's) who explains why he eventually segued from real amps to amp modelers for live and recording studio sessions for similar reasons (that and the weight). But it wasn't huge sound systems so much as the way they were mic'ing and EQ'ing his amp at the board (a Fender Twin Reverb among others)

Mind you he still has his real amps which he enjoys at home and for certain small venues-

Went to the gym in Cantonment, Florida today with mom for the first since early this year or late last year. By the time we returned to the Pensacola area, the furniture store next door had finished their liquidation sale and gone out of business to be replaced by an antique and collectibles store/thrift shop.

So while mom was browsing for things she was interested in, I took a gander at these. Enjoy ....

Who would've thought this would pop up, after my having recently posted songs form this album?

Here's something that would pique at least some of the T-Bird family interests-

Now this one I had to photograph because of the cover's cultural significance - I have no idea of the artists or content, ddn't want to keep mom waiting too long! I'm guessing this was from the swinging-60's. Just thought of something- I wonder if Sergio Aragones or other Mad Magazine alumni had anything to do with the background art?

Took this photo because one of the T-Bird bros or one of my Warwick Forum bros had recently mentioned this band in a post-

And this one because I had never seen or heard of this particular album before-

You mentioned hobby ply, is that your preferred template material?
