Got this fitted and finished. Hole matching was... improvisational.

I need one different pot as the threaded part of the collar is too short. Ordered a T25K, need a T36K.

Otherwise all fits tight and straight.

Also cut a test cover from hobby ply, that'll probably become the drilling template for the final cover. Still 50/50 on making it black plastic, or wood painted to match the body.

So, progress... in limited non-working time.
New ERP system launch coming last week of October, so yeah... kind o' busy.

That cover looks great! It's really difficult to get the radii to match by hand. I just made the routing template and cover for my IV project with a 3D printer to get it right. You may need a little more clearance to allow for paint.

Sounds like you remembered better than I would have. Good thing you had 10kw of PA, or was it 20?
Ha! Thx, he said 10kW but then mentioned each of the powered subs running 5 so, your guess is as good as mine, one thing it didn't lack was headroom....they were using these weird "passive" DI boxes, no batt......never have seen, possibly outta touch with modern PA techniques/trends.......

talk about "playing from memory".... :smug:

At one point, a band I played drums with did a cover of Time, the Pink Floyd song. There is a section with a tick-tock sound that has some roto-tom that goes over it. Doing that without some kind of track was a real challenge. The trick was to set up a couple plastic jam blocks on a stand so that you could twitch your hand back and forth like a clock pendulum. That was one hand. The other hand was roto-tom rolls. Pink Floyd can be really tough to do live without electronic gagets. All of their songs seem to have some electronic quirk.
