Yep, I was afraid of that. It's a dud. It happens. Not to worry though. I'll take it off your hands so you don't get embarrassed in public with it. I can use it at home and it will be OK. ;)

Sounds great to me. Those are LaBella Super Polished?
Yes, these are the Pabella Ian Martin Allison strings. I think they’re great.

don't you love it when you show up somewhere and you hear "no need for your bass rig, we have a 10000 Watt PA"...... :hyper: :hyper:

No. I don’t.

I like hearing my rig. Which is why I buy what I buy and not sim boxes. Others may like it and that's perfectly fine. Just not for me. I hated showing up and a backline was provided.
I really want to use my gear, I bought it to use it. Sure, not everyone has enough gear to leave a rig at their rehearsal space and another one at home to take to gigs. I’m fortunate enough to have more than one rig to choose from and I want to use them when I get to play out. I have rigs good for a big stage, small stage and tiny bar set up. I don’t mind sharing my cab(s), but then sometimes it means I have to stick around for the closer to finish…

So this reminds me of different people posting that "Somebody Calling" by Robin Trower was a ripoff of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition".

I eventually got fed up and commented that based on their criteria, one might argue that "Superstition" could be considered as derived from Albert King's "Born Under a Bad Sign".

Now for the record I don't believe that it was the case, but it shut those detractors up-

Because to me, while one could hear some similarities between "Somebody Calling" and "Superstition", it's in no way a ripoff, lyrically or arrangement wise. And whenever one creates music from a particular genre which uses certain scales and progressions, one might on occasion come up with similar sounding phrases-

Interestingly, the album cover of Born Under a Bad Sign bears a lot of 'superstitious" symbols!

That's ok, you'll still be glad that you have your rig so you hear what you really sound like, as opposed to what comes out of the floor monitors - Now you feel my pain!

I love lamb and cook it many different ways but cooked in fermented yogurt isn’t one of them.
I want my shanks in a red wine reduction like this…

Using this recipe…
The issue is you can’t really get the “fat butt” sheep in the US. The flavor is almost sweet and falls off the bone.

Wish I would have read this before the gig lol...having the rig would have been better and I knew that when I decided not to use it....the band (only one 45 minute set) was followed by a solo singer using playback so I didn't really want to be rushing up and down with the rig between acts....was it optimal? No, just another job tonight.....

You made that? Wow. Looks like something they would serve where Chucky is playing.
That looks fantastic!!
It’s an easy peasy meal to make, just takes time. But boy does it taste good.

I only use New Zealand lamb for shanks and roast. A lot of the lamb here in the US is actually mutton, quite different in taste and texture (not in a good way).

There's so much that could be said about that line of "logic."
I know why places do that, but I like hearing my rig. Which is why I buy what I buy and not sim boxes. Others may like it and that's perfectly fine. Just not for me. I hated showing up and a backline was provided. Never was it something impressive or what I would consider an upgrade from what I had.
absolutely right, in a perfect world Donnie, today was just such a clusterF...the rig would have added to the mess.....it worked out ok...but I don't disagree with you in the least....
