I've heard that recently from band members in the Houston/Galveston area- the engineer says, "Put away your 5000 dollar boutique bass and use that battered house Precision sitting in the corner."
only 5000?.....cheapskate....

this 2010 Elite with 18V preamp and bridge humbucker can pretty much cover anything.....

Just ordered a claw from Philadelphia luthier. If anything I’ll drill it out since it’s a non original, reversable upgrade.

Man the more I play it the more I like this bass. Y’all ever play a Squier rascal? It’s kind of like that but with more top end and “oomph”.

Out of my 10 years of being a bassist and trying hundreds of different basses, including gibsons, I never thought I’d be a Tbird guy but it seems to be a match made in heaven.
No, no, no. They are terrible. one trick ponies. Have horrible neck dive. And...the headstock... the blasted things just unexpectedly fly off.

I would say you ain't heard nothin yet. Wait till you play it in a band setting in a big room. I have several nice vintage basses. I could easily play the '64 Thunderbird all the time and be happy.

moving up in the world...JMB here tonight...

Have a great show, that looks like a nice place, playing outside?

We're here tomorrow night, and again on 11/29.

I love lamb and cook it many different ways but cooked in fermented yogurt isn’t one of them.
I want my shanks in a red wine reduction like this…

Using this recipe…
You made that? Wow. Looks like something they would serve where Chucky is playing.

don't you love it when you show up somewhere and you hear "no need for your bass rig, we have a 10000 Watt PA"...... :hyper: :hyper:

There's so much that could be said about that line of "logic."
I know why places do that, but I like hearing my rig. Which is why I buy what I buy and not sim boxes. Others may like it and that's perfectly fine. Just not for me. I hated showing up and a backline was provided. Never was it something impressive or what I would consider an upgrade from what I had.
