I’ll play

I’m in the shallow club here, so I kinda back off the Markbass stuff because of the tonka toy yellow plastered all over everything. But I have to admit, I’ve never heard a louder and better sounding super compact 12” combo than the CMD121P. Pricey and fugly but it really fills a room with an amazingly small footprint and only 25 pound weight.

It looks like it would take up less space and be lighter than the Carvin combo I use for most shows these days. With an extension cabinet, which he has, I could get rid of the Carvin. The Carvin doesn't sound bad, but doesn't sound great, either. It is good enough for what it does, and I run DI off the pedalboard in to the PA when I use the Carvin anyway. But inertia is a thing. I have the Carvin baby stack, it is paid for, and I know how it works well enough that it's not much of an issue. I don't have much opportunity for the big amp to get out to play any more.

I was going to say that despite the hotter pickups (490Rand 498T) in my Flyinfg V and Explorer, one could easily play jazz as well as blues, hard rock and metal-

Now the Burstbuckers I and II in the Snow Falcon Flying V are a different story altogether!
These were just a bit harsh. Not that I didn't play all the styles, anyway.

Supposed to pair very nicely with upright basses as well.
