Seriously, a lot of it is "blues" changes based. Then there's the "modern" stuff that sounds like 4-5 unrelated solos at the same time.
The latter is what I can't stand.
When we're playing and someone plays something not part of the song (mistake), I tell them they were playing some jazz to show off.
 
One thing about my Jazz is that the trussrod is as tight is will go and if I happen to get too much neck relief in the future, I’ll most likely need to purchase another-

American Standard necks are difficult to find and the new Jazz basses have five mounting screws so my only options seem to be either get a Fender Mexican neck or go with someone like Warmoth.

So I wonder what would you do or recommend in the event I would need a new neck?
