Thunderbird Club

I’m in the shallow club here, so I kinda back off the Markbass stuff because of the tonka toy yellow plastered all over everything. But I have to admit, I’ve never heard a louder and better sounding super compact 12” combo than the CMD121P. Pricey and fugly but it really fills a room with an amazingly small footprint and only 25 pound weight.

I only play thru Mark Bass stuff by coincidence...... my buddy needed brakes on his car and had a MB 4x10 cab to offer as partial trade..... and my quest for a lightweight head landed me a MB Little Mark unit from the TB classifieds.

I like the yellow, matches my 79 Blazer that I've owned for 33 years.

800Watt at 4Ohm of fairly flat response to 20kHz coming in at just under 40 lbs.....don't care if it looks like the inside of a Denny's...

I used the ABM at rehearsal and used V's (and something like Churck's) settings, or pretty close. I saved a pic of V's shape engaged settings, and used it for for two songs. Nice, usable change. Sounded good. Nice and big. One was with pick. Nice setting for that. Another couple songs my typical mostly flat with some bass boosted, last couple same with no comp. Seemed to fit the '81 G&L L1k, which seemed fitting to use considering the situation at G&L.

So happy for you! You deserve this. My 2013 is by far my #1 bass. Only difference between yours and mine is yours came stock with a Babicz bridge. Great bridge. I have a SuperTone on mine and love it.

Play it like you stole it.
Gracias, but I only bought it to get measurements for the one I'm building...

😉😉

I'm super jazzed about it, can't wait to meet it. No ETA yet.
It looks pristine in the photos. One-owner per the seller, seldom played.
I suspect it may have been an estate sale of a collection as the vendor has 4 or 5 lefty guitars up too, mostly Gibsons.
If so I hope it placates the former owner's shade that it will be cherished.
