FWIW, my 12 survived an accidental hour in the Aruba coastal waters. Rinsed with tap water, ports blown out with a hair dryer, left overnight in a bag with paper towels, and it was fine.worth buying an underwater camera....Rosa pointed at a spotted manta ray that must have had a 5 foot wingspan about 100 feet from shore....truly amazing, had me briefly consider the submersion survival time of an iPhone16 lol.....fact that it was salt water deterred the intention.....
Ahem!
I hated my 12. Bad battery life and horrible wifi antenna. 16e is so much better.FWIW, my 12 survived an accidental hour in the Aruba coastal waters. Rinsed with tap water, ports blown out with a hair dryer, left overnight in a bag with paper towels, and it was fine.
Digital delay. Go all Edge on it!Looking for a cheat code on a couple songs folks want to add to our set list; Runnin Down a Dream and LA Woman. My issue is both songs are essentially chugging 1/8th notes the entire song and at a high clip (170 beats). My old, beat up fingers just can't pull that off. Any way to make it work with fewer notes?
Would prefer dragon Wednesday particularly in volume 5 form.
Where is Captain Jack Sparrow when you need him?this novel sparked interest for the area....we were a little apprehensive thinking they may have been poisonous but got told they were manta, not sting rays...

As are multiple fingers.Picks are your friends.
I just do whatever works for the song.I'm probably in the minority of Thunderbird players who plays fingerstyle only. I tried using a felt pick in '68 when I first started (Vox Delta IV/Vox Kensington amp). It didn't stick. Tried again in mid '80s ( '76 Thunderbird/Lab Series amp) it worked for a few songs, but again, didn't stick. I mess with them now and again, but just don't care for the tic tac sound. Now I just use the Steel Leather for my 2014 Thunderbird to tighten up the tone. Everything is fingers only. The only song I think it would benefit is Train Train by Blackfoot, but while we mess with it once in a while, it never makes it on to a set list.
Thatās a valid reason!Likely true, but I play in a Classic Rock/Hard Rock Band. When I tried to play a few songs with a pick (which were played by the original bassist with a pick,) my guitarist looked at me and said "Don't Do That!" When I asked him what, he said "Don't play with a pick." He said it didn't sound like me. I guess after playing fingerstyle for 57 years, the calluses suffice for a semi pick sound.
AhemYes I do the same on a lot of classic rock tunes. My fingertips are quite hardened.
Thanks for sharing the code. I downloaded the album and will check it out.View attachment 7385356View attachment 7385357
Here's some free download codes I already distributed somewhere else but it seems I can't get arrested so why not share them with you as you have been very encouraging with my music wheter I used a Thunderbird on it or not.
There's a slight chance that some of them has been used already but try another if one is already taken. Here's the link where to redeem the code.
O'Man
If they are stock, that sounds right. Stock pickups were definitely passive.I just looked at the diagram there and it doesn't show where to connect the pickups - unless I missed it?
Further down in the thread someone says they are passive coil tapped pickups and the red lead is the center tap.
@NRguitaresearch I would disconnect a pickup completely and take some measurements with an ohm meter to figure out what you have.
If red to each other wire is about 3.5k, thats the center tap.
My 12 was ok. 14 was better. 17 is great!I hated my 12. Bad battery life and horrible wifi antenna. 16e is so much better.
I used a 12 for six years until my wife drug me to the Apple store for a 16 Pro Last January.I hated my 12. Bad battery life and horrible wifi antenna. 16e is so much better.
So Dave, give this one a shot.
You obviously donāt know me very well. How many whiskeys did it take?
