Welcome to our world. Every year we fret over the Sierra snowpack. And the Colorado River. Personally, we’re usually fine with Bako being forward thinking about storage and our mountain place not having any issues since we’ve owned it. We’re in a La Niña, which is usually a concern. But 2016, which broke the drought, was also a La Niña, but with lots of snow. It’s impossible to predict.
It sucks when you spend months in a band on the assumption that everyone is on the same page, and then this type of stuff happens.
If it makes you feel any better, most of us have had multiple similar experiences.

I should probably post one zoomed in on the "repair." For Dave's entertainment purposes.
It looks like this (stock photo):
The stock location for the upper strap button makes for disastrous neck dive. Once the strap button has moved to the heel of the neck where it belongs, it balances very well. It is bolt on, meaning I drilled a hole in the neck plate for the strap button attachment.
There's a lot that's pretty low-budget about it, but the frets have polished, eased ends that are really comfortable. I sure didn't expect that at all.
I'll get a picture of the real one this weekend if you pester me enough about it.

As I recall, the plane crash might be the first I heard of LS. I think Sweet Home Alabama became “big” here after that event. Especially with the advent of FM radio here in the late 70s maybe 1980.
BTW that could be wrong, it’s just my memory of it. After further thought, I expect I had read about LS in the music papers / magazines I used to read.

He ain’t worth the drama. There are other decent singers out there.Turned into a shite show when the lead singer said he didn't want to do our arrangement of some of the songs. Drummer almost walked out in the first 10 minutes. Practice at home for two weeks and then this...

I was wondering if you guys take a cd or album with you when shopping for new equipment?
In my case I was shopping for my first CD player (I had about 25 cds though!). My mate and I went out equipped with Dark Side of the Moon and tested the CD players with “Money” and “Time”. We both bought the same Denon player, to which I added a Denon amp and Mordaunt Short MS5 speakers.
What song/s do you guys play when road testing new cd/record players?

I’d be taking a belt sander to that lower horn.

After 3+ weeks I’m nearly over the Flu. I’ve got Carols tonight, our choir group (2) has been “invited” to sing (with the Youth Choir) for the Parish Committee at their meeting / Christmas feed. Very traditional, with organ accompaniment for our stuff. Not sure if the YC will bring guitars.
For the record, I’m not a singer. But my voice is ok, especially when surrounded by a gaggle of other voices. The more the better. Plus I enjoy it.
