We were running it the other day and got a nice 3 part harmony on "Peg!". I'm hoping we can do justice to the rest of the chorus. It helps to have two people with music degrees in the band,,,except when they disagree:)

I should probably post one zoomed in on the "repair." For Dave's entertainment purposes.

It looks like this (stock photo):

The stock location for the upper strap button makes for disastrous neck dive. Once the strap button has moved to the heel of the neck where it belongs, it balances very well. It is bolt on, meaning I drilled a hole in the neck plate for the strap button attachment.

There's a lot that's pretty low-budget about it, but the frets have polished, eased ends that are really comfortable. I sure didn't expect that at all.

I'll get a picture of the real one this weekend if you pester me enough about it.

And we are having a "snow drought." Our summer water supply is all from the snow pack, and it's been too warm for any of this deluge to stick up in the mountains. It's just coming down the mountains and flooding anywhere low lying.

Unless of course it’s his band, in which case, suck it up buttercup. :cool:

Band drama, the number one reason I don’t rejoin a band (well that and low talent, and a life, and the pay, and …). ;)

Yes, same guy. The band existed long before he joined. We thought we had an understanding as the last few months were smooth...this time the patience has worn off for at least 3 of the 4 other members. I was in the process of working on a listing for a new lead singer with some specifics on this is our set list, can you handle it without any major changes.

Every string and every amp I've played through with the sidewinders sounded good to me.
In fact, I think they would be an improvement over what I installed in the '66 NR. While it's sounding really good, I had to work at it way more than I expected. But they are brighter (as I was concerned about), and have less heft. Sidewinders--they have everything anyone wold need IMO.

Have your daughter create a psych and emotional maturity test to give prospective singers.
(Don't give it to the other band members. I've heard that a professional has some doubts about one current member already. ;) )

seems like their lower output (easily fixed with adequate wattage) enhances their dynamic range....

Saw LZ in the 70s in that little (long gone) amusement park that used to be offa Sheridan St. there in Hollywood. [FL for y'all westcoasters]
