Thunderbird Club

I ordered this last weekend, thinking it would take a week or so to arrive. It was sitting on the porch since Wednesday. I kept looking at it through the camera until I finally got home today. I’m glad we live in a good neighborhood.

I can go a whole lot faster with fingers than with a pick. It made switching from guitar to bass a complete natural. It was like coming home. Bass told me where I belong. Like being chose. By a Thunderbird in a lot of ways.
Explains everything! ;)
pretty interesting....you must be a natural bass player from the get go as most bass players who started on guitar I know are not comfortable with fingers, continuing to favor picks .....seems like there are quite a few reasons the electric bass gets picked as an instrument.....

McCartney played bass. Girls adored him. My twelve year old brain thought it would work that way for me. Oh well. Live and learn.

It didn't work for you? Seems like every time we played I had girls wanting to talk after playing. Occasionally very generous offers extended.

OK, that was actually how I thought it would work.... But still love playing bass either way.

Yeah I have a set of work gloves without tips I was using for load in and setup. I also have a lighter set I've tried at home. I can play with one on my right hand.
I had a bad habit of getting finned when fishing and after a while started wearing a work glove when taking the fish off the hook so I wouldn't mess my hand or fingers up and not be able to play.

I did start on piano, so there is that. The other quirk is that I sometimes play the upright more like a bass guitar, using four left hand fingers.

My brother says I am really a drummer. He sure knows how to hurt a guy...
