The Hagstrom is pretty versatile really. The 6 position switch really gives lots of tone options. Comfortable bass to play and its short scale, I just don't use it as much as it deserves to be played. Great for noodling on the couch tho.

Always loved the hagstrom viking bass, & had wanted one for years...

But i decided to build my own - which is currently still on going after 7+ years.

Yep. Appreciate the talent and musicianship. But doesn’t do much for me personally. We all have different tastes. And that’s perfectly fine. There’s no right or wrong.

I think I recall seeing something with him years later talking about it and saying exactly that. I’ve always liked him.
