They sound like DR Highbeams that are broken in. Less "zingy".
I have had Black Beauties, which are the same coated string only black, a couple times. I like them a lot. There are lots of strings I like now. Guess that's as good a reason to have multiple birds as any.

Funniest thing.......I bought the BC Rich the same day I FINALLY met Baz face-to-face after talking to him for 12+ years on the internet and phone.

I was out near Ft Wayne, IN and he drove down from Chicago. Also brought me an old Orange 2x15 reflector cab he had picked up for me a couple years ago from a former Cheap Trick circle guy in WI.
He also brought his two '64 TBirds for me to try

That's a great story. And three amazing bass guitars including that beautiful Rich. I never thought I would see a B.C.Rich I didn't think needed to be lime green or hot pink. Now I have.

That was kinda how it was when I got the series mod done on my T-bird. Turned it into a ferocious beast.

All ready to play some Type O Negative tunes, I see.
Its like an army tank bred with a muscle car. The never ending quest for "the right tone" has brought me to this point and if Im not satisfied by now I may never be.

Had to go to GC on Sunset Blvd. today. They have a virtually new 2012 Gibson with case. Plastic is still on the PG. Can be put on layaway until it clears 35 day police hold which will be the 07/13. So temping. Anyway, thought someone here would be interested. $999.00.

Peering at it through the window as it waits to be set free a song crosses my mind at an instant. Cheesy as it may be it seems fitting for the image. Open up the posted bass image to full screen while song plays for full effect.

I think you guys might like this. My favorite was the 64 Tbird, but I might be biased. (thought seriously almost every other bass sounds dull, muddy or thin)

More or less agree. Still have a soft spot for the sound of a Ric and the first two FSOs sounded okay [gasp]. The Ripper demonstrated the qualities which prevented me from bonding with the one I had briefly in the 80s.

Thanks man!
Oh... that reminds me... she's quite remarkable with paints and pencils as well! 2 years ago, her school was auctioning off paintings the kids had done, as a fund raiser. Her painting actually prompted a bidding war that closed at $240.00... a school record! The kid's an enigma!:D

I don't know why you say she didn't get it from you, you're quite the enigma yourself.

Mark.....

Don't you have one of these BC Rich TBirds?

I have lusted after these since the first time I laid eyes on one!! Would LOVE to add one of those to the collection. If you ever decide to flip that.........what is the neck like on these? Chromium has an 80's Mockingbird with a fantastic neck.

Ok, no more Bender talk from me here, 200 bones saved towards a new Epi 2017.
And the Ebony is looking pretty Chechen to me.

Right on!

I think I know where some of the $$$ came from too.
