Thunderbird Club

yeah same, the Babicz doesn't jive with the "vintageness" of TBirds imho....
Yes, and if I were designing/building an aesthetically 'modern' vibe bass, I wouldn't consider the Babicz. A bridge I like that I'm using on my latest build is the Sandberg - fully-adjustable and elegantly designed.

Mine came with one stock, and though not as vintage looking must say they are very simple to adjust quite precisely, and stay where you put them.

Still putting a 3-point on the 'bird I'm building tho. I like the one on my LPDC just fine.

I get that. For vintage, can’t beat the original two point. And I don’t mind the three point. I have them on several Thunderbirds. I actually think it’s kind of an elegant design.
The two-point works for me if the saddles are positioned correctly. For me specifically related to the three-point - a successful design is one that satisfies both player & their tech. (one who works on the bass) The whole gestalt. If we were to make a list, there's many other bridges that operate/work better within that consideration.

Very modern looking. It looks great on that build.

My primary beef is the issue of the inserts pulling out. I’ve purchased three Thunderbirds where prior owners screwed up the repair using superglue. Fixing the ground on one of them took me forever.

Silks on saddles would be my only concern with that bridge. Fixed easy enough with a hard tail.

I was just about to comment on the low quality of the vid and saw its was from 14yrs ago ~ My only reference to those pu's is V's white T-bird which if I recall correctly has them. (our were they Lulls?) When we had our 1st T-bird GTG a couple years ago - we all played it and the general consensus was that it sounded awesome. When you think about it - the sound of your bass first comes from the pu's. There are many pu options out there and most sound ok, some sound good/better, and others sound flat-out great. So it's no surprise that the best sounding pu's cost the most.

But I agree with Marshall about the VP pu's. I bought this 2017 IV to gild and re-sell but after playing it when I got it I considered keeping it because it sounded so good. To my ears it was close enough to my '64 II to be considered a legit RI sonically.

This thing looks incredible.....Would love to hear it

Hard to beat a White Thunderbird on stage.

I really like how Sophie is quietly taking ownership. Pedro and Rachel are also great. I was thinking the other day when you posted Let’s Go how Pedro just works it. I’ve heard bands play that song so many times where the drummer thinks they need to overpower the song. It really is a band that works. You and Ginger must be glad at how the post pandemic version has developed. Congrats V. Your patience and perseverance is really paying off. More please.
