In my more than fifty plus years of backpacking, fishing, camping, I’ve only encountered two bears where I was real close (without a wall between us). One at Camp Richardson up at Tahoe, and one on a fire road I was riding my motorcycle on up in Sequoia.

Bear canisters are essential to protect your Lays.
 
I'm not one of those who think vinyl is the ultimate format etc. and I do like cd's as much BUT I have to admit that it was a good feeling this morning when the band's long awaited album was brought in by the mailman. I haven't appeared on a vinyl album since 2016 so it was about time.

I like cd’s just fine. But vinyl for the win! Very cool.

This is at the southern end of the San Andreas where it jogs east. About a mile or so north of the house.

And my wife just texted me helpful information about rattlesnakes. Might as well move to OZ.

I keep telling you guys that the US has as many dangerous animals as OZ!

BTW our Brown snakes don’t shake a rattle to warn you before they strike.
