Thunderbird Club

Project ThunderPbass made it to Lou, but has been sitting that the "distribution center" since Wed (when it was supposed to be delivered) evening and not moving to the local PO. Caught the new or fill in mailman yesterday and told him what was going on. I was nice as it wasn't his fault but asked if I can go to Gardner Ln and get it myself since they can't figure out how to get it on truck to the local. He said he would call. Not out for delivery today either unless all info is wrong.... Even filed a ticket online Thurs. Often if you do that the next day things that are stuck magically begin to move. Not this time.

Someone has to the heavy lifting with all the slackers... :smug:

Thought this interesting. May be old stuff for everyone but me.

Bass and drums together! What a concept!

Yeah its not diving, even though he's wearing a shiny shirt and using a skinny strap.

He's quite tall, not a small human. I enjoyed Geddy Lee's visit with him as part of the series about bass players.

never understood antgua...
It was the 70s. Still a lot of lysergic acid diethylamide in the blood stream. Only thing that makes sense to me.

I will say I saw The Outlaws and Hughie T. had a new one (Strat) and under the bright lights is looked like a very pretty grayburst from 40ft away. Some love 'em, most don't.

Like I said, not everyone's cup of tea... I will say there are many versions of Antigua out there both vintage and newish that I don't care for either.

yeah never got the origin or the appeal....in Spanish Antigua means old (feminine) but it's also the name of a Caribbean island..... my point: never seen anything old of coming from the Caribbean that looks like that.....

We spent the morning volunteering at a local charity that feeds, clothes, and otherwises provisions and helps lots and lots of people. As we were leaving, we stopped to say goodbye to a friend, who was helping sort donated books. The staffer he was working with goes, “Oh, here’s one!” And hands him a signed copy of Bill Kreutzmann’s “Deal” - his memoir of his time with the Dead. David didn’t want it, so I got a great deal on it. It was on my list to check the library for.

Alas, I saw no Thunderbirds (or any musical instruments), but then we were mainly in the clothing sorting warehouse 99% of the time.

Good point - maybe 'old', like "antique" but for some reason CBS/Fender marketing thought it was a good name...
