Thunderbird Club

Hang onto them. Our drier is probably 30 years old. It’s an old Kenmore. I’ve replaced the main dial twice. The temp sensor once. Simple inexpensive parts that even I can figure out how to replace. I doubt a new one would last as long or be as easy to fix.

They're all Kenmore, not going anywhere!

A little fun from Nikki.......

Designed to be built easily and inexpensively, not serviced.
with the threat of AI service folks may have a chance....definitely more my speed....

You don’t need Dropbox. If it asks you to signup, just find the X on the upper right and kill the advert.
OK, will do.

Update: OK, that worked. Nice job. We used to do that one. Usually packed the dance floor.

[Now that I think of it, since we're pretty much defunct, I guess I can say "we used to that one" for about 200 songs. :(]

Thanks for that V. She is such a sweetheart. And now we know that the bass used on the recent recordings is her Thundergiraffe that they put SD’s in.

Got the Indonesian Squire 50s CV Pbass. Other than the bottom strap button being pushed in a bit from being set down hard and the wear I knew around the pup it's about perfect so far. The tuners are a little tight, but no slop at all. The tinted neck and fretwork are as nice as any US Fender I've played and better than some. Shocked how good it feels. Really impressed so far. I changed strings to some old DTFs for starters. Actually shocked how good it sounds. I mean gig it good. But home is one thing, live another.

Surprise: New pots to go with the guitar (cheap strat style humbucker) rail pup. The vol is CTS push pull DPDT pot to split the or use both it seems. One rail doesn't make any noise when tapped, so I assume split. Really love volume compared to a bass pup, but sounds doggone good.

Seems like a 0.047µF 200V (Orange drop?) cap. The cap is tall instead of wide.

Pic from ebay. Not sure why a pick was on the the PG. I was concerned it was glued, but not so. It's pretty heavy. If I leave the PG on I will chamber it it a bit. But it may go.

My Koreabuckers are 2 wire so I'm not sure if I can/should use the vol pot or not. No desire to split it. But I will use the bass as is our of curiosity. If it sounds as good as it does at home, I may be tempted to not change the pup. My options are something to ponder.

So I take it your lead player is a Clapton fan. He’s good (pretty sure I’ve said that before). Nice job all around.
We do two Clapton songs, Cocaine, which I suggested, and Wonderful Tonight, which the singer requested. Two guitarists, one is more blues/acoustic/classic rock and the other would prefer metal, but typically takes the solos. He’s good as long as he doesn’t go off the rails with effects.

You also do Crossroads, correct?
