Thunderbird Club

Tweetchie zone.
We have the advantage of owning/playing what we consider the gold standard of Thunderbirds--the 60s versions. While many later versions are nice, they are not what we consider the Thunderbird tone. Subjective, and preference based for sure. Maybe a Lull would compare, but no chance of owning or likely ever playing one. As much as I love my other versions....

I considered going to see Stevie Ray when he toured w/Jeff Beck in the late '80s. The show was on a Wednesday and involved a long drive. It was a work day so I passed... and shortly thereafter - Stevie Ray passed. I generally don't entertain regret - but that would have been a memorable show.

He was the most amazing act I recall. I've mentioned before, but when it was over I was kind of astounded having never experienced anything like that before. Never left a concert before with nothing but "Wow!" ringing in my head. Second time I knew what to expect.

I did get to play a fiver once (fives aren't my thing at all) at the old Corner Music store when it was on 12 South in Nashville. It was every bit as good as you'd expect it to be...but priced like it, too. Not overpriced in my estimation, but it was a pretty hefty price tag.

Thought of you all while at the market. No, didn’t buy any.

It could be a mod platform if it plays well.
Have to admit, if I saw one used here at GC or the like, I would likely buy for that reason if it played well and reasonably checked out. I would never buy it new. I have a problem with people (countries) that have made a living faking other people's products.

Wow, haven't thought of that place in a long time. Pretty sure I haven't been since they moved.
