Ya know... I hadn't considered Chi-Town, but it's not that much further than D-Town. I'll hafta see if I can round up a posse & make the trip!
If that's the case grab the '65 Jazz in Lake Placid Blue for me please! They had a 71 P in that colour recently and it was gorgeous looking.
Well, I can say this is your fault then....had a couple of adult beverages, as you insisted and ended up as the winning bidder on a 2012 Gibson Explorer bass on ebay!

I have the same sort of issue... except I'm the Dad!My closest neighbour is probably half a kilometre, only thing keeping me from turning it up to 11 is my mom doesn't appreciate my kind of music... or music at all really. My dad encourages the loudness. But headphones are cheaper than renting a house.
My trans red Bird is a Warmoth body. Beautiful wood grain and finish.
Home alone for the next at least 24 hours, no neighbours... it's about to get LOUD

My wife has been out of town for a week. It has gotten pretty loud around here this week. And my neighbors are close by but never complain. It wouldn't matter if they did. Most have acted like I don't exist since I moved in 8 years ago so I wouldn't turn down for people like that.

You ain't missed much. Lotsa chatter about the new Epis, Alumitones, cases for T-birds (or "Birdcages" as I call them)... @bylar13 just scored a 2012 Explorer on eBay... oh yeah... and @JJR58 was abducted by aliens... but we expect him back anytime now... so... yeah. Nothing big to report.

Loved MtH - bought the album with the M.C. Esher illustration on the cover solely because of the artwork and became a fan. Later when I found out the bass player Overend Watts played a T-bird it further sealed-the-deal for me.

Quick, easy, and cheap...which was the point.
I did the one on the left, '57 P clone, about 10 years ago, it's aged/checked nicely, full 1-3/4" wide nut Fneder CS neck. On the right is a Duck Dunn tribute I put together, original CAR (gold base, not silver).
