Gen Pop? Who are they?

I got a thunderous P sound out of the 2015 last night at a rehearsal. It sounded like what would happen if God was playing a Precision. The EQ had a bit of low mid enhancement and a bit of compression, and there it was. Rolling tone on and off did a bit of shaping, as did rolling the bridge pickup on and off a bit. Neck pickup at about 9, neither pickup tapped. No Precision on the planet could sound like that, which makes it kinda funny.

Please, it's inverness, Sherwood is the color of the U2 guy's jazz bass. Now how the hell did Geddy get all those vintage custom color thunderbirds? Are those even all original finishes? Looks like the white one is slightly pink.

I'm still a young grasshopper when it comes to Gibson basses, sort of.

I understand that he can afford them, I'm more curious as to how he found so many. There weren't many T-birds built to begin with and custom colored ones are even more rare. I'm imagining it must have been a task just to locate them. Perhaps he even went beyond the norms of acceptable means. Maybe he hired private investigators to locate the owners of the basses, including people that weren't willing to sell, because who would want to sell a sweet frost blue Thunderbird or Firemist gold NR T-bird? Then if the owners refused to sell he had hit men take them out and made it look like a suicide but not before forcing them to include Geddy in their wills as the benefactor of their precious bass. That's the only way I could rationalize it anyhow. Must have been really expensive.

Could be the case.

Buuuutt.... I'm thinking he just knows a lot of people in the vintage industry and they know what he's looking for, or he just puts the word out.

When you're famous and are looking for something, word gets around quick. Some people probably had no intention on selling their Bird but when they heard someone like Geddy is looking for one they're quick to sell. Or people tell Geddy (or someone in contact with him) that they know someone with one.

Now that you said that I want to leave something along the lines of one plain white shirt, to someone like Geddy or Robert De Niro (not them specifically but you get the point) when I die.
