No worries! Just make sure everyone in the house knows they will be brutalized only to the point of begging for death... not beyond, should they enter "your space". You Aussies are a stout bunch, so it may require that you button your shirt incorrectly, apply some easy-run mascara to one eye, and spatter a bit of tomato sauce somewhere conspicuous on your person. Most importantly... you must remember to either refuse to smile at all... or do it without ceasing, regardless of circumstance. It is a decision you must reach, and commit to at the start of the evening, so choose wisely. Either one, combined with the previous elements, pretty much guarantees an event-free evening for your gear

I'm sittin' here watchin' the Allman Bro's performance at Woodstock '94 on YouTube. Woody's playin' a Thunderbird, standing 2 feet in front of 2 stacks of 3 Ampeg 8x10 cabs laid on their sides!

Actually... if anybody's got the time, I wonder if you guys can help me figger out exactly what specific 'bird he's playin' in that performance. Lighting & camera work make it hard to see what it is. I think it's a vintage piece. I think it's gold over gold, or gold over cream... and I'm not an experienced enough 'bird watcher to be able to date it...
(probly wouldn't go out with me anyway...)

"Whippin' Post" starts at 1hr 15min. They gave Woody 3 times more camera time during that song, than in the entire rest of the video. After seeing that... I'm pretty sure the hardware is not gold... but I'm even more stymied as to what kind of 'bird that is

Yes my Dad was "that close" to buying a metallic blue HG Monaro 350 (auto), but went for the sensible HT Kingswood because of the 4 doors. But he kept talking about that Monaro for years. The Kingswood ended up as my first car... if only!...
That Monaro would be worth $100k + now I guess.

It will have to wait until my tax refund comes in (house stuff first) but I think I have a plan B.
1. Get the SG or Explorer kit as my practice kit.
2. Keep watching eBay etc for plan A items.
3. If 2 = false then when confident I can make a real go of Plan A; go for the TB4 kit.
I'll be anxious to hear your review if you pull the trigger on one of those kits.

It will probly surprise a number of you to know that this is the first one I've ever seen. I've seen plenty of right hand drivers before... but never a late '60's - early'70's "muscle" car. Most of what I've seen have been high end luxury and sports cars, or quirky little things that appear to have been designed by a team of people who couldn't agree whether to make their vehicles boxy or curvaceous, so they continued the fight all the way through production!
Those have Chev 350 engine, Camaro steering wheel and Muncie 4 speed and I think the Salisbury? 10 bolt diff.
GMH around that time assembled Chev Impala & Pontiac Parisienne from Canadian packs as their 'luxury' or 'prestige' offerings. Just needed to throw a few more engines etc on the boats.
Yes, I have similar stories about a couple of Monaros and a desirable performance Commodore.
In my youth, I chose wagons and vans because I played in bands and needed to cart gear. I have suffered for my music.
My father in law was going to leave me his XB Hardtop on the condition I restored it until someone pestered him and gave him $35K for it.
In my youth, instead of this I bought a HQ V8 Panel Van.
When the panel van died instead of buying one of these I bought a VB Commodore Wagon. The one I was looking at was a blueish colour I seem to recall

The Panel Van would be pretty desirable now - if it hadn't rusted away like so many did.
The HX had s funny sort of blue, sort of a Thirst Lifesaver kind of colour.
The Group A! Actually, if I go the SG kit I could try that Formula Blue colour, I really like it. Instead of an EB I could call it a BB Blue(s) Boy.
I'd love a HQ Monaro and/or V2 Monaro esp in Devil Yellow. Argh.

As I was looking at the pick you posted... I had a vision. A vision of something that should have been built years ago. I'll call it the "EBTB". It's an EB3 with a vintage style T-bird bridge and electronics. Sounds like a Carlo thang...
