Thunderbird Club

I will say, without fear or favour (and this may get me into trouble with KSIS - keep salami in sandwiches) that is the best looking tort I have seen for a long time.
I've never seen tort quite like that, ever.
Steve (ThunderBucker) Soar's personal G8R. I gave him a deal on it although I did make him supply and install his own '63 pickup.

Yes, it looks very, very good.

Yes, Webbers 2nd backflip. I remembered him back flipping at Le Mans in the Mercedes. One of his teammates flipped in another car as well. Not sure if practice or race.

Think I found it - best replay at about 0.55

I had a picture on my wall above my desk of this crash showing the car way off the ground and vertical above the road. It was just unreal looking. (pre photo-shop etc) The 24 hrs of Le Mans was my favorite car race as a kid and Steve McQueen's "Le Mans" is a favorite for many reasons.

Bound 'Bird........................

Got one.

Maaaaaan... that is FuNkY!!! I mean FUUUUUNG-KAAAAAY!!! I've never seen one like it before!:thumbsup:

GAS?.I believe I have everything I need but!, I tried out one of these and could not believe how beautiful it sounded and felt and guess what @theFixer it has a 1.65 nut. I could not believe it when I saw the sticker on the back that said Made In China as the finish is top notch and that cherry color just makes me drool. I really dont need it but I need it or something.

I was talkin' with GBass about those recently. It's definitely on the list. It's just not first on the list;)
As I was looking at the pick you posted... I had a vision. A vision of something that should have been built years ago. I'll call it the "EBTB". It's an EB3 with a vintage style T-bird bridge and electronics. Sounds like a Carlo thang...

Yes, it's hard to see it :D

Actually if I can find an old Epi body to practice on, I'd like to try to (attempt to) build something. Not withstanding my lack of: knowledge, aptitude, tools & confidence that is. Apart from that all systems go!

Thinking NR in ARG (Australian Racing Green)* with two Gold GT stripes down the centre. Colours inspired by Sir Jack Brabhams F1 Championship winning BT19.
Looks good in my mind.

*(The 1969 (GM) Holden Monaro had similar colours available to my colourblind eye. Verodo Green from dusty memory).
I have not the Queen's authority to command such a thing, but I think I speak for everyone present when I say to you, friend... brother... dooooooooood... you gotta make this happen!!! It sounds incredible! I wanna see it!:hyper::hyper::hyper:

(oh look! 2 cents!)
Finding a clever way to color match the headstock would serve to accentuate the "F1-ity" quite nicely!

Needs tort.

Thanks.
This is the Monaro from which the colours could start from.
Verodo Green & Persian Gold stripes. The side strides are the starting point for 'my' stripes. Even thought down to the strap. Black and White houndstooth like the upholstery often used (or checkered if easier to find).

Chevy people may recognise the engine, steering wheel etc,

Mad props to the right hand drive muscle car!:cool:

It will probly surprise a number of you to know that this is the first one I've ever seen. I've seen plenty of right hand drivers before... but never a late '60's - early'70's "muscle" car. Most of what I've seen have been high end luxury and sports cars, or quirky little things that appear to have been designed by a team of people who couldn't agree whether to make their vehicles boxy or curvaceous, so they continued the fight all the way through production!

KSIS officials have requested that I inform you that you can expect a citation, delivered by certified post, in 5 to 10 working days.

(shshshshshshsh... you're being watched):bag:

Just doing some practice before the gig tonight. My word, the Chinabucker equipped Gibson TBird is in fine voice today.
Poses dilemma. The stage area is pretty tight where we are playing tonight, despite being the best gig locally. I get nervous with the skinny Gibson neck in confined spaces.

Just don't turn quickly whilst on stage...
