Thunderbird Club

I'll admit I'm curious what a 'bird with binding would look like... but I think your creation is cool, unique, and perfect for the look you're trying to go for.

A bass that's as unique as it's owner:cool::thumbsup:

Not quite a bound TBird but Gibson went a little down that road late in the production of RD Artist Basses. I think the bound ones appeared in about 1981.
Very cool!

Horace and his wife Clare are lovely people too. I often go to see him play in small pubs around Coventry with one of his side projects 'Blues2Go' - a fantastic band. He's always happy to have a pint and a chat afterwards :)

Based on the angle & trajectory... I'd say he knew something bad was coming... but he didn't know when it came. It's always so sad when something like that happens, but in a way... it's enviable. He went out instantly, with no suffering, doing what he loved to do. IMHO... that beats the hell outa layin' in a bed for weeks, months, or years withering away while friends & family suffer with you.
Absolutely I agree, would definitely rather go out in a flash.

Coolest 'Burst ever, yellow/red/black on that RD, if I could one, that'd be it!

Tonight is my first gig since surgery! Got through rehearsal on Thursday night without popping anything.

Yay! So glad to hear you're doing well post surgery and having given up the cigs! Right on :bassist:

It's funny. The older I get, the more I appreciate the stuff I wouldn't have given more than a minute or two of listening to thirty or so years ago. Just one example: I couldn't listen to Suzanne Vega when she was in constant rotation on the radio and MTV. Now I think a lot of her music is lyrically brilliant. And her voice is pure magic. And her acoustic guitar work is pretty darn awesome too.
I fell in love with the Solitude Standing album on its release, except for Luka, and still listen to it often. I didn't dare admit it at the time.

Thanks for that. Yep. All good at present. Considering some precautionary radiation at present when the graft is sufficiently robust (pluses and minus). Still stiff and tender around the graft and donor sites, but both are coming along well though. Still no smokes, I am around 8 weeks now, I think.
Doc have all said giving up helped the graft no end.

Jules Bianchi's crash at the 2014 Japanese Grad Prix was bad. He collided with a recovery vehicle with sufficient force to lift it off the ground. He never regained consciousness.

For sheer w.t.f. random, how in the hell... Felipe Massa copped a flying spring in the helmet at the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2009. He was lucky. The helmet worked.

And Mark Webber walked away from this with a smile on his face.
