If you look closely at the top right corner of my avatar, you'll see the brim of a beige golf hat. Under that golf hat, you'll see 4 to 6 inches of
Hmmm. Bee Gees are from Isle of Man half a world away. Can't recall the details, but as I recall, Isle of Man is simultaneously British but not British, hence the zero income tax.
I didn't have time this morning to add that to me, the Isle is best known as the home of the Manx World Championships for enduro motorcycle racing. Where Husky totally dominated the sport in the sixties into the seventies. We have the privilege of owning one of the bikes used for the '69 race. A perfectly balanced 250cc monster. My brother still has it in his garage. The tranny is shot. We haven't been able to ride it for twenty years. He hasnt felt compelled to spend the money for what is needed; a custom machined rebuild. We've talked about restoring it as a brother bonding activity when we both retire in a few years.

Anyone interested in a quick trip to Buffalo to see @godofthunder59 play in his Fleetwood Mac tribute?
I'll have to wait until he does a show in Vegas. But I'd really like to see/hear him play McVie. I've posted somewhere before that I learned how to play by playing along to Peter Green era Mac albums for hours and hours on end. Used to drive my Dad nuts, but he never really discouraged me. I am a huge fan of all eras of the band. Saw them in the Welch era a few times and several classic lineup shows. I passed on the recent Dodger Stadium shows; too expensive in a less than ideal concert venue. McVie is my mentor.

My first year in college that wasn't abnormal. But now I might have one drink once every 2-3 weeks. But that was college.
I work with someone who, up until this year, would drink a 60 of Jack a weekend.

Wow. That's a lot of Jack.

We were super stupid in college. Shots a minute. Seemed like a good idea at the time. But is was mostly .99 a six p**swater like Ballentyne or bottles of Lucky with the game under the cap.

If I can get a Drs prescription do you think I'll get a discount at the bottle-o ?

I was thirsty from our conversation last evening. So coincidentally I stopped and picked up a box on the way home this evening. Cheers!

Just got back from a new brewery in town. I used to brew in a former life, so I had an interesting conversation with the owner. Almost all the hops I used to buy came from your neck of the woods. But now a lot of growing is happening here. The soil conditions that make for good wine also apply to hops. It's a big deal now. How big is your yard? Just put up some 40' poles and let them grow!

Nice. What brewery? My brother in Johnsonville, NY, brews and also has a hop field. A brewery somewhere around the Finger Lakes buys all his hops.

I've found that Guinness usually cures what ails me.

I usually hit the bourbon for that.

Duran Duran is one of those bands that I hated in high school because they weren't cool. Now I listen and they are really good tunes.

It's funny. The older I get, the more I appreciate the stuff I wouldn't have given more than a minute or two of listening to thirty or so years ago. Just one example: I couldn't listen to Suzanne Vega when she was in constant rotation on the radio and MTV. Now I think a lot of her music is lyrically brilliant. And her voice is pure magic. And her acoustic guitar work is pretty darn awesome too.

What I am taking from it is todays music makes a lot of music I hated in the 80's sound pretty fn' good. And thats not even a knock on the 80's. When I hear one from that era I appreciate it more not only because of how much I hate todays :poop: but I actually listen to it and realize some of that :poop: isnt as bad as I remember. Didnt pay attention because I didnt think it was cool, and it totaly wasnt. And even the stuff that was.:roflmao: And I still dont like it :roflmao: ..............:bassist:

Im not French but in the early 90's I had been asked on a few occasions if I was French because apparently I had a French accent. It just happens that I was dabbling throughout the second half of the 80's with LSD and Mary Jane in fact dabbling so much I inherited a French accent.:jawdrop: Lesson here is - Dont abuse mind altering substances as side effects may convert you to French:roflmao:.

This is gonna complicate things down at the crisis help center...
