Except with a less dorky roofline. I never understood the "formal" roofline thing, vinyl on the roof or silly "opera" windows, especially the oval ones. My favorite cars were always lightweight roadsters. They are truly practicality challenged, but low mass is its own reward. Can't fit a 360 or an upright in one. Fitting a 'Bird is nearly impossible. So I don't have one. No oil puddle on the driveway, either, so there is an upside.

Upright, 360. Important factors to consider indeed.

Ive seen you phrase this a million times and now I have to ask. Why is it "him indoors"?. Who is "him", does "him" have a name?, does he ever go "outdoors"?.
I'm pretty sure the answer to those questions is a mystery. Him inside might even favor tort, but I'm sure he keeps that to himself to avoid Kat-wrath.

Do "black" beauties offer a darker sound?;)
No. They are just black. They sound like nicely broken in but still lively rounds, as I recall. I may put those on a 'Bird one of these days when it's time for new strings again. Maybe the 2001, since the magic is a little muted these days due to string age and wear. That one isn't a chrome project and never will be. Black beauties would probably sound pretty good on the 2015, too.

Those are very nice basses. It feels super compact after a Bird and the bodies are very resonant. Too bad there's no room for one at mine. You should get one so I can enjoy it vicariously.

There was an ebony on sale at my local last year for $AUD250-ish (a display item with a little buckle rash) but him indoors' pained expression put me off.

I'll just leave this here, so you can enjoy it vicariously... :D:D:D

@kat888 is usually pretty literal, so if there's code or a hidden message there......

I probably haven't been around long enough as well @hillerup.

We may never know Dude.

Kat revealed the meaning early on in her postings here in the TBird Club. I don't remember exactly but it had something to do with a character on television that referred to his housewife as "her indoors" or something close to that. I'm not sure if we're to conclude that "him indoors" is a househusband but that's what I recall.
