Heavy or light doesn't seem to make a huge difference, because the EB is probably the lightest instrument I own with the exception of a full hollow acoustic archtop guitar.

Most of mine are fairly low, but not super low as that is not what I aim for when doing a setup.

If I make them super low strings will rattle way too much for me to like it.

I am a bit heavy handed,which means I need a bit of clearance or the strings bang off the frets all the time. I like the action fairly low, but not nearly as low as some around here.

I think that is a "thing" for some bassists. The guy from Korn has so much clank to his setting that it resembles the sound of a bag of marbles being shaken. I also like the strings low but hate the clank.

Bought it as a project. It was originally a natural mahogany (rarest of the BiCens). Even with all it's been through the neck is UNBROKEN.

I never bothered to look into it but I wonder what he's tuned to for "Follow The Leader", I assume its C tuning but at times the depth gets lost in the mix and the clank kind of feels more prominent. Could just be the mixing.

Saw Korn live a few weeks ago, and the clank is prominent throughout every song, talk about cutting through the mix, that's all you heard from the bass, lol.
It's his thing and part of their sound. It certainly fits for that kind of music, brash, obnoxious and angry.

Not a big Korn fan, went to see Stone Sour, and my son is a big Skillet fan, who opened (along with Yelawolf, who was ridiculously good if you like white-trash rappers), but wow, I have a new appreciation for them, they do not phone it in at all, they go hard, and put on a great show.

Stone Sour?
I've developed a bit of a regard for them, some stuff more than others.
Corey Taylor is a talented guy, excellent singer.

Hey Fix - Pretty safe to assume I'm not Lemmy. :D

I'd like one of his basses though if someone is wondering how to distribute his stuff. :bassist:

When I delivered the Hammond I was talking to my Cuz and Lemmy came up. She goes when <her child> was small (early-mid 20s now) they were over at the kids friends house for a play day. The two Mums were talking and 'Ace of Spades' started up on the radio.
The kid pipes up 'that's my Uncle singing' (something like that).
The Mum confirmed she is Lemmys Sister. Cuz never asked earlier even though the name was Kilmister.
You normally don't ask those sort of questions when meeting people.
I guess it isn't that common a Surname.

Lemmy was an only child. His mother was widowed when Lemmy was very young. She remarried a retired footballer that had two older children. Their last name would obviously not have been Kilmister.

Yeah, he is, immensely so. Stone Sour also put on a great energetic show. They have a lot of stuff that ranges from heavy screamo type stuff, to songs like Through Glass, and everything in between. It's easy to see how one could like half their stuff and not the other half.
If you haven't checked out any of Corey's acoustic cover songs on YouTube, it will a well worth doing so. He has a fantastic voice, and does some surprising covers. Especially coming from the guy who sings for Slipknot too, lol
