There are also other factors to consider: Older Epi birds have a straight headstock like a Gibson, whereas newer models have a slight downwards slanted headstock.
Do you mean the carve on the edge being a shallow flat rout on older T-birds and an angled bevel on these Epi Goths etc? If so yes, this is the case. Also note my '64 has a sorta' (rounded) pointy end (lower) and a gap at the other end (top).
