@ubernator , you guys rock! Love your bass tone, it really comes through and your singer nails the vocals!

This is only about 35 minutes... but it's a kickass 35 minutes

Thanks man! Word is starting to get around and the more established tributes are liking us and offering better shows. Last weekend was our home show and it was pandemonium. I don't have the footage yet. It was the first gig with the classic pro. The white is nice on lower light stages. The goth would have been invisible. I'm digging the white with black hardware. And the USA pickups.@ubernator , you guys rock! Love your bass tone, it really comes through and your singer nails the vocals!
Yeah yeah
Back to our programmed viewing...
My big headed Goth supports @JIO s hypothesis that the larger gap at the groove point indicates a slim neck profile.
You totally would do that for me, I know you would because I would do that for you and you know that!. Thanks Bro!![]()
That certainly makes sense.
I'll take that knowledge with me & browse some Goths & see what happens. It's kinda hard to differentiate when there's no comparator. Just a matter of training the eye I suppose.
I'm so behind, 11 days and 1538 messages. Not sure I will be able to catch up.
First gig in San Diego with the system tribute, 2nd gig with the 2013 classic pro.
Opening song. Next one is a 15 minute chunk of the set.
Amp rumble 200 combo 115 plus rumble 112. Amp overdrive for grit, boss ODB-3 for distortion/fuzz, boss ce-2b bass chorus.
Here is the 15 minute video.
I like this bass a lot! Gibson USA pickups really nail the modern T bird sound. Feels so solid, neck through seems to "connect" the low end in a different way than the bolt on goth
try it this way? Still works for meBoth video links says:

my 2006 definitely has a slim profile. Wide, but slim.Must check my two Goths and the spare Goth neck for this...

Dude you are now in possession of a Thunderbird and that is the common denominator all of us share, we are a Club, Union, Gang, Cult, Family. You and I are also inspired by the works and teachings of Frank Zappa. These two common denominators provide more than enough that I shall believe and have faith in you, even without pictures of proof. From my heart I thank you ever so kindly sir, you you done me proud. You don't know the trouble I got into for doing it. But consider it done. Got back to Jersey about 7a.m. Haven't been able to sleep I'm such a mess. Oh the things I do.....

Here is the 15 minute video.

You ain't payin' me enough to subject myself to that!Yes, it is not only possible, but probable. Have you met people recently? Just wander around the general population here...

That probably absolves you of the butt bow and cocoanut ritual now that you are a full fledged, 'Bird chosen, 'Bird owning person. Maybe. We need to have a vote on that. You don't know the trouble I got into for doing it. But consider it done. Got back to Jersey about 7a.m. Haven't been able to sleep I'm such a mess. I wasn't aware you weren't a fan. I'll make sure to include you in the next warning...Nor Danish resident Hillerup...![]()
We're looking at ways to help differentiate between Goth's with thicker necks or thinner necks more so than estimating age or era. @JIO has discovered what may be the only discernible visual trait that would indicate thick or thin in a photo. There are also other factors to consider: Older Epi birds have a straight headstock like a Gibson, whereas newer models have a slight downwards slanted headstock.
I couldn't hear him at first either. Then I spotted a "mute button" near the lower right corner of the video itself. Clicked on that & commenced rockin'!Still can't hear you.![]()

With the standard monitor speaker I couldnt hear the bass but once the headphones were jacked in it was like going from a 22 inch black and white television to a 60 inch panoramic in HD. Im sure it was a great experience to be standing or sitting anywhere in the club as well.I couldn't hear him at first either.
