That is not necessarily true. Depends on how close the friends are.Well, so much for the old saying..
You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friends nose.![]()

I actually like 12 inch speakers. Think it's a good compromise between 15 and 10. Sometimes, I find 10's too thin sounding.
The only thing I would like more than my 212 is a second 212 ... or a 412.
Are you sure this is a cat?

Larry... in your post you responded to a few different posts. I will reply to all of your responses with just one. When we discovered that we all like each other for more than our collective love for TBirds of every feather.
Yup.
Is this the reason for the pup's name?

Maaaaaaaan... The Datsuns are AWESOME!!! I know they achieved a little success here in the states, but the only people I've ever met who had even heard of them, was my buddy Todd, and my x-wife's Kiwi cousin who moved from "Enzed" (as she called it) to live with us when she was 18 years old. Of course she was completely "over them" by the time she got to us
I strongly recommend this album to anyone who's into hard, brash, abrasive straight-ahead overdriven rock & roll

May I also recommend listening to "M F from Hell" EXCEPTIONALLY loudly, and first!...and based on your recommendation I shall turn off my current playlist and switch over to it to see what all the hub-bub is about. I'll be back shortly...![]()

From the first note I could tell I was going to like it!

3:03 MF From Hell
6:40 Lady
9:39 Harmonic Generator
12:48 What Would I Know

I'm listening to them in the order that the band/producers intended and it's great. Thanks for the recommendation!
@Fixer, you said, "hard, brash, abrasive straight-ahead overdriven rock & roll"
NAILED IT! I'm on the 5th track and not a stinker in the bunch... I'm guessing I won't find one.![]()
I think you'll find, as I did, that the amount of pleasure you derive from listing to the Datsuns, increases exponentially as the volume increases![]()

It's cool man... but at 2:01, I fully expect you'll be ready to crank the volume, unplug the headphones, jump up, jam a donut in Mr. Duncan's unsuspecting face, and let both middle fingers fly as you headbang aggressively in his direction. It's a relatively common reaction...I'm stuck in my jail cell... I mean cubicle, until 2 PM so the volume can be loud in my cans but not obnoxious since only about 12 feet separate me from Mr. Duncan and he certainly doesn't have my taste in music.

I'd forgotten about "Harmonic Generator". IIRC... it's the only song I've heard that's been written about an effects pedal! The Electro Harmonix HOG2From the first note I could tell I was going to like it!

Do you keep it on the mantle with other family photos? So is my kid. The cool part is that I saw a pic of him as an eight cell blastocyst
I’d have to guess that a lot of what you’re talking about is down to playing style. Some people could probably make nylon carve into frets, and other make concrete not show a sign on frets.I have to tell this: the bass has been used a lot from the previous owners, even if kept nearly as new (except some minor dings), and still the frets looks like they were never touched by strings.
the previous owner used only Rotosound Swing66 on this bass, and if I'm not wrong only steel in general for the others.
when I bought it, the frets were opaque and dirty, I polished them and wow, brand new.
on any other bass I've owned in the last 10 years the frets were always signed by strings, and polishing only made them shine, but didn't remove the scratches.
Gibson frets are probably made of some kind of adamantiumeven the '76 Ripper of my friend (the previous owner) had nearly new frets.
I imagine the "2:01 scenario" I described, as being a scene from the movie "Office Space" had it been a musical starring Jack BlackI'm starting to suspect that corporate America may not be in your purview.
Just got done listening and it's very few albums that one can like from the first note and the first listen all the way through. This happens to be one of them. Thanks!![]()
