Thunderbird Club

Kinda looks that way. I'm near the cusp with a Dec 20th b'day. But I'd say my tendencies are much more Sag than Cap.

So when growing up you probably got the same old birthday treatment as most other Archers - "I didn't know what to get you for your birthday and Christmas so I got you a combined present". :(

To this day, my wife makes a big deal out of never combining the two events. To the point that a couple of years ago she got me a TBird for my birthday and a Warwick Thumb bass for Christmas. Gotta love that woman!:)
I'm a Capricorn & Jan 12. I don't get the one present thing but I get complaints about how hard it is to think of another present so soon after Christmas. They should be happy they can shop in the post Christmas sales. :)

One great thing is it's a top time of year for backyard parties. I appreciated that through the teens and twenties.
Oh, and I never went to school on my birthday.

Ok Kat, it's the thought that counts. But that dude should find another hobby besides singing. He sings even worse than I play the bass! I do like the song though.

Allmusic describes it as "Arguably, the greatest rock single ever recorded" ... they should try Teenage Kicks. Somewhat surprisingly, given the subject matter -- it's a song about heroin, not girls or planets -- and his obvious physical state, Peter Perrett is still alive.

I'm Dec. 5th. Actually, my mom went out of her way to keep the two separate, i never gave it much thought till i was older.
Nice basses the missus got you sir. That's a woman to love for sure.
These days, the family stills goes out of their way for me, since my mom and bro are no longer of this earth.
I try to stop them from doing it, but they just ignore me. So now the old guy gets the combined birthday/Christmas gift, which is usually a bunch of cash.
Who am i to complain.

1/11 I relate. That huge part of the year getting nada because it is all crammed together

It's still going on, i'm not sure why i get carded though these days, i may not look like i'm 58, but i sure as hell don't look 21.

Once on a plane, the passenger in the next seat tried to prevent me being served an alcoholic beverage with my meal on the basis I was 'underage'. That rates about a 15 on the obnoxious arsehole-o-meter.

Him indoors was annoyed yesterday because he was mistaken for Liam Gallagher in the street ... instead of Paul Weller. He cheered up when I pointed out that Gallagher is substantially younger than Weller.
at a gig in San Diego last weekend, someone told me I looked like Kim Thayil from soundgarden?! Never heard that one before. I have gotten silent Bob (when I had a full beard and 20 years ago) and jack black about 13 years ago. I did lose some.weight recently, which I am trying to put back on via totinos party pizzas. Kim was always pretty skinny, though I am not east Indian by any stretch.

My dad get's upset (jokingly) when he doesn't get carded, says it's age discrimination. Ironically, a story goes, when he was in grade 9, the seniors would have HIM buy they're booze. Pretty much had a full beard by then.

fellow Cap - J1 Here's a clip from this year's J1 B-day party gig here in Pacifica w/my band The Sean Conneries. I think it will be an annual event.

Ordered a set of strings from eBay and this was in the package, so I slapped it on my case as an homage to all the members of the T-bird club.
