She was very earnest, intense, and when she bestowed you with her attention it was all there was. She was something of a stoic, a fabulous hunter (I'm re-typing what I edited out in the first post!), and sometimes hilarious. She was a compelling character, still is in my mind, though I think she's probably having a better time now, without that pesky other cat intruding on her space! Lol. It's a rough road to get re-adjusted to life without her sitting on the stone wall or trotting down the street to meet me when I get home.
I know you get it. I'm tapering off having my face crinkle up when I get a new revelation of this development, so I'm glad it's a long weekend. Thanks Kat.
She was, admittedly, quite the shrew to other cats- nothing surprising there. The hair on her forehead used to stand up, breaking her chill demeanor, when her indoors' cat ("Baby Bear", a real needy beggar, that one, lol) would pad into the room! If she had been human she's have had a pretty dry, sarcastic sense of humor. But sweet, loving, yes. She chose where to bestow it, and that was a gift.
Guinea fowl make a really obnoxious, incessant squawking sound. If I were of such nature and had them, I'd probably go buy a pellet gun... fortunately I'm not. But if I were...
Edit... I used to raise chickens.
I think Sadie would've been quietly amused at the pellet gun remark.

Concert Report
Some of you may know that I went to see Alice Cooper and Deep Purple this evening.
We were a surprised when we thought Alice Cooper was starting early, but we were mistaken. It was not a zombie on stage, but rather Edgar Winter. They opened with Free Ride, then you had to sit through the set of cover tunes and jams until they played the other song that you wanted to hear; Frankenstein.
Alice was awesome and stole the show. A crowded stage - Alice, drums, bass, and 3 guitars. BIRD SIGHTING. The bass player brought out a `bird for Poison, Cold Ethyl, and School's Out. Evil Nurses, Frankenstein, a beheading. What's not to love?
Deep Purple was a little disappointing. It seemed like there were some technical difficulties. For the first couple of songs, the vocals were very low in the mix and the video screen did not work for the first few songs. They seem to have organized themselves around keyboards. There was a long keyboard/organ solo in everything and the role of the keyboard was always front and centre - even in Smoke on the Water. Interesting, Steve Morse still uses a cord. Everyone else (across all three bands) is wireless.

The will, eventually... When they announced the Pro IV/V's it took somewhere between 6-12 months before they started showing up in the stores - Kinda like when Apple announces new stuff...
Stickiness wears off and they retain their 'broken in' sounds for ages...
Well ... it looks like the Epiphone Thunderbird Vintage Pro won't be available in Europe until 11th December.
The earliest, I guess...

I bought her out of Japan on US Ebay maybe 7 years ago.
Everything is black on her.
The pickups and rings are painted metal.
It is a good playing and sounding instrument.
I am a fan of Japanese guitars.
I have a 78 Tokai LS80 Les Paul Reborn.
I have a Orville by Gibson 335 and a Orville by Gibson double cut Les Paul Junior.
As far a T- Birds the OBG and Greco bridges are different.
I would like to someday aquire the OBG single Pickup Thunderbird.
I bought her out of Japan on US Ebay maybe 7 years ago.
Everything is black on her.

Ok I'm starting to cope better. Woodshedding some music for Plan 9 has helped me along a bit with perspective (I guess that's what it is), a little focus goes a long way. Thanks everyone, seems to me that all of you are just a bunch of fine people. @kat888 , I'll make no more awkward attempts at humor involving Guinea Fowl, and I'll try to avoid Paul Weller's bowling shoes also.
